We enjoyed our meal at Hencho En Waco! The location and atmosphere were great. The service was a bit slow and we had a communication issue with our waiter (received double the meat vs 1/2 and 1/2 like we had asked), but would come again!
I'm not a local guide so no bloated review. Service was better than average. The prices are budget friendly and serving sizes match the prices. Chips and salsa are average but I really liked the refried beans they served with them. Everyone enjoyed their entrees but not as authentic as it should've been. They served black beans instead of refried beans. The rice was laughable with plain white rice no color or flavor and common frozen mixed vegetables.
The menu looks to be full of delicious offerings. Our group was very pleased with their orders. The gringo steak burrito was very tasty. The service was a little slow even though the restaurant wasn’t full, but the atmosphere and food made up for it.
