I like what they are doing here in Waco. Clean and bright interior, fun atmosphere with 2010s alt rock playing in the background. Creative farm to table menu. Nashville hot chicken tacos were a hit in my book, amazing flavor, balanced.

Servers seemed over booked. Granted it was busy. maybe they need more help?

All in all I will be back to try out their other menu items!

Great space with very nice modern finishes and the patio was very comfortable to sit at. Parking was very limited but parked down the street and it was not far. Carnitas hash and the Nashville hot tacos were all really good choices. Highly recommend the pumpkin spice espresso martinis.

Unfortunately had a bad experience here on our first visit. The restaurant was basically empty and the hostess seated us right next to the restroom; we requested to move. Our server then came over and couldn't answer any of our questions regarding the menu, he went to the kitchen 4 times for questions. He then proceeded to describe an entree and when it arrived it wasn't what he described. Our trout entrees arrived lukewarm. At this point we asked for the manager. An Assistant Manger did come and she was able to get our table back on track. Thesis restaurant's claim to fame is they are a scratch kitchen however we could've order the salmon without blackened seasoning. We wanted to substitute grits for fingerling potatoes, it wasn't permitted. I try to give restaurants at least two chances but can't say I'll be back here.

I ordered to go and was disappointed. I order The Salad which was described as little gem lettuce, sesame sunflower seed crunch and rustic croutons and Campari tomatoes. None of these are actually on what I received. I also had the crab hush puppies which were ok not much crab mostly cornbread and the corn ribs which were pretty good. Do better Milo!

Here are the facts: 3 biscuits and 1/2 cup of gravy was priced at $8.00 ……1 1/2 pieces of bacon was $5.00 and Seth was our server. Seth did a nice job waiting on us. The problem was my food was stone cold - there was not any attempt to heat the biscuits that seemed day old at least. The butter had no way of melting on the biscuit and certainly not the gravy because it was at best room temp. I ordered biscuits and gravy and assumed they would be served hot! Then the bacon was cold as well and the 2nd piece of bacon was not even a whole piece $5.00!!!!!. The gravy had little flavor and seemed kind of sweet. Please have someone sit and eat what I was served and get their opinion. For $13.00 I was hoping for at least hot & FRESH food. My total for 2 meals with tip was $38.47. My son ordered the Buddy Holly and his food was cold as well. No he did not eat the dry hard biscuit. Eggs were warmish , potatoes were warm not hot, sausage - cold. 11/2/2025

Great atmosphere for a family get together. Plenty of food choices. Kids grilled cheese is huge. My hamburger was perfect! Salmon was blackened beautifully for my wife. Great food and service!

A great breakfast stop in Waco. Food was fresh and tasty. The portions are a bit smaller but they are priced well for their size. The farmer’s daughter was a smash for our group. Drinks looked delicious but we didn’t try them because it was still morning and we aren’t THAT dependent. But still worth considering…

I visited Milo in Waco for their Half Social Wednesday and had a great time. The half-price appetizers and drinks were fantastic, with the Brussels sprouts as a standout—crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The crab hush puppies, chicken and dumplings, and Carnitas mac and cheese were also delicious and perfect for sharing.

The hostess was wonderful and made us feel right at home. The decor hit all the right notes: quaint, cute, and a bit trendy, creating a cozy atmosphere. If you find yourself in Waco, be sure to check out Milo—you won’t regret it.

They had this “Halloween speakeasy” and save your time and money. It was not busy. We had one drink and the whole process of ordering the drink and waiting for the waitress to come back so we can ask for the ticket took approx 45min. Service is terrible. Waitress was nice though.

Feeling adventurous? This is a great choice for brunch in Waco. The food is friendly, the service is fresh and the menu is a step above what you may usually find.

Very tasty. Some of the foods we chose were extra spicy but we loved all the flavors of everything we ordered.
