First off, Pizza was terrible. We all ordered, waited 30+ minutes for just some pizza. Turns out the bozos didn't even put my pizza in, and somehow lost it. 5 star rating for the guy that gave me a refund. Will not be back.
On September 9, 2025 around 9:00 pm. My experience at this Waco location could have been better. The pizza was good. The ladies behind the counter were nice. However, the African-American guy that worked there was not engaging, at all. We ordered a lemonade and was told by the lady cashier that they didnât have any, although it was an hour before closing time. She pointed to the drink dispenser as the lemonade was being drained from the dispenser and transferred to a food storage container. The African-American guy was using a cup to scoop lemonade from one container to another without gloved hands. He seemed annoyed when we asked to fill our cup with the lemonade. Then he put more chairs up on the table tops â although closing time was an hour later and more customers were arriving. Then when we picked up our pizza, he was behind the counter. I asked if he put the garlic sauce on the pizza for Margo, he said âwhat?â. I repeated the question, but before I could finish, he put the sauce on my sonâs pizza and not Margoâs pizza. He quickly closed the boxes and totally ignored us. I noticed the reason he was not engaging is because he was wearing personal ear buds while working and not focusing on his job. He couldnât hear what I was asking. Is this how Mod Pizza manages their employees? Is it ok to wear personal ear buds, on your job tuning out the customers??? And he kept putting chairs on tables like he was in a hurry to close shop.

Impeccable manners by employees! Atmosphere is great even when crowded with locals, travelers, students, and guest. Always clean and employees watching for cleanliness. Bathroom are tidy. Our food come just as we ordered, never had a mixup, portions are spot on, food is always fresh and tasty. The people who cook the pizzas are always friendly and mannerly. They greet guest upon walking in.

My wife and I had an excellent experience at lunch today. Danielle and Ari were super friendly and went out of their way to provide great service. The food was hot, quick and delicious. The restaurant and restrooms were also very clean. We will be back for sure! Shout out to Danielle and Ari!
