The most overhyped staple in all of Waco. Food is mediocre at best. Think of it as a little bit better version of Panera, and Panera is basically airplane food. I would say though, the sweet potato fries are absolutely deli shoes. RIDICULOUSLY overpriced!! They are truly adhering to their Baylor student market. Not all of us drive bmws though. I have a Hyundai and my wallet still screams from one order at this place. Also the seats inside are sticky.

Excellent food but incredibly overpriced. They try very hard to please and the food does. I had a BLT on nice bread, bacon was mediocre, I've had a lot better, and a lovely tortilla soup. All would have been fine but not at $19.25 with a soda, add tax and a small tip and you have a $25 sandwich. Mostly college-age customers, they must have a big fellowship. When you charge more than Panera, you've got to know it's overpriced.

This was our first visit to The Mix Café! My grandson and his girlfriend had visited several times when attending Baylor.After the basketball game, we were starving. She recommended Mix Café. It was all that she said and some! Highly recommend that you stop by.

Just stopped in on our way back to San Antonio and absolutely enjoyed our visit. The kid with the dark, pinned back hair, and glasses was so friendly to everyone who came in.The food was fresh and delicious! My wife and I both got the chicken pesto sandwich and I got a side of the tomato soup. Everything was SO good. Good job to everyone!!

Amazing! I can't say enough how good this was. From the sandwich with what I think is homemade bread, to waffle fries with dip, and amazingly free fruit for November. A little on the pricey side but very worth it.

I came back for alumni weekend and was astounded by how the prices have increased significantly over a single year. The Hot Turkey Avocado is really good, but it isn't $10.50 good. It used to be $8.25, if I remember correctly. The Sweet Potato Fries are almost $7 now! The serving has always been super tiny, but now I can't justify buying them, even as an emergency snack.This being said, the service has always beem great and they keep the property and dining areas clean.I hope the increased prices are going into the employee's paychecks, but evem if that is the case, I doubt I'll be returning here. This place has amazing food, but why would I go here if there are taco trucks making huge burritos for a few dollars cheaper just a few blocks away.

Even though a single food item should not cost $7; in light of today's Biden-induced inflation the meal deal that includes a burrito, potatoes and a drink is a comparatively good value. They problem is deciding on one visit whether you want a sandwich--full or open-faced, salad, wrap or quesadilla.

I love the front patio area, it's pretty cool with a nice breeze in the morning. The hostess was incredible, she gave great recommendations, was friendly, explained the menu really well and was very attentive!I got the blt and with the sweet bacon and the sweet bread it was a little too sweet and not enough savory, but I still liked it.My bf got the meat burrito and he actually said it had too much meat for him to finish! Our chihuahua joined us on the patio, it was very nice!
