Probably the third time I've been to this location. Shame on me for expecting improvement after a couple of visits. Even if you bundle a food item and a smoothie your total will approach $20. Keeping this in mind, you're getting portion sizes that don't justify the price. Our salad had wilted lettuce, sparse toppings, and a tiny bit of dressing. I imagine the line inside the bowl was the fill line. There was at least an inch of space before hitting it. So $20 for just a smoothie and a tiny salad, and I'm asked to tip? No thanks, especially if the staff just give you side eye as you walk in and don't acknowledge you as you enter. My husband and I were still hungry and ordered a couple more smoothies to take the edge off. They were great, but again, two smoothies for $20 seems steep. I can get fresh smoothies with pressed juice from local chains for that price. The employees behind the line looked miserable and seemed irritated they had to work. The ones sitting down waiting for their ride didn't look the least concerned as the ones working were getting a rush. Please consider a break area so it doesn't look like employees who are off the clock are just leaving their teammates hanging during a rush. I asked a female employee for a fork so we could actually eat our salad but she made a point to gesture me over to her teammate before she realized I made a very simple request and gave me one. To summarize, I understand fresh foods can cost, but they are charged at a markup to profit. I'd feel better if I got the value I expected for the price point, but the skimpy salad and the attitude that came with it was no good. Keep up the great work on the smoothies, they were delicious, just expensive knowing any added juices were from concentrate. As far as service, I don't understand why people would repeatedly overpay to be treated as if they didn't matter or as if they're a nuisance. I've been behind the line as a manager - my food quality, sanitary practices, value, and most importantly my customer's experience is always a priority. Consider these points and perhaps take a hint from this and other reviews and make improvements.

Tropical smoothie is one of my favorite places. I always have a great experience at other locations. Stopped at this location on my way through Waco. Smoothie was fine. Employees and atmosphere has a very unwelcoming vibe.

0 stars. Never place an order on the app. On July 7th I placed an order on the app around 8:30 am, I arrived and the store was not open, no employees in sight. I called their customer service and they were polite, and said I would get a refund around 7-10 days. When I didn't receive it, I called yesterday and let them know, again, they were polite. But today, I received a call saying the employees claim they were there and I never picked up my order, and implied I was lying. That is a lie. While the customer service hot line may be polite, this company is a scam and does not value their customers. Go to smoothie king. They have a lovely banana smoothie. Do not order here unless you have spare money you don't care about because they won't refund it.
(Also there were several times where our order was wrong, staff was rude, and an occasion where a plastic scoop was blended into my husbands smoothie which I let go and honestly after writing this review, I've realized the smoothies aren't even that good, just convient.Save your money.)

I ordered online last Sunday and it was supposed to be ready at 10:10 am. I got there early and nobody was there. Workers didn't come in until 10:20 and I called them to cancel my order because if you order ASAP it won't cancel online. They said they did, but the money was still taken out of my checking account. Management called me once and I missed the call because I was at work. I've called back 4 times and nobody has responded. They took my money and never gave me a refund for a smoothie I never received.

It’s wayyyyy tooo slow I promise you will wait 30-40 minutes for a smothie literally ! They dont even greet you at the speaker when I got here it was one car infront of me just one I’ve been here for tooo long wayy too long this the 2nd time this has happened I usually go to the other one

They was nice most of the time. The chicken fill as burned sometimes but today it came the worst. The guy who prepared the food literally didn’t clean up the machine so my son chicken came with many black burn pieces. I asked them to redo it and he gave the other one to me with kinda attitude and no cut. That’s not very difficult job to do. Sadly someone can’t even manage itz

Workers lack basic customer service skills. What I ordered is not what I received. I went back into the store get it corrected-I was very nice and apologetic. And the 1st guy took offense and kinda raised his voice at me-I still remained calm. The order was corrected and the girl worker came up and had to add her 2 cents. Last time going here. I’ll stick to making my bowls at home

I ordered Bahama Mama BOWL... they gave me a smoothie.. when I let them know. And offered my CC back for price difference.. after, not the guy that took my order, but a girl tried to reprimand me saying.. BE SURE TO SAY BOWL. BC THERE IS A PRICE DIFFERENCE.. mmmm I DID... I'm getting older, so I wasn't rude about it. That's all I have to say about service. The items are good, though. Only second time going here. First order was the PB protein smoothie. It's was good 👍
