Got lucky to get a table after dropping in. The food was so good, the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was nostalgic. Be sure to call for reservations and to make sure they are open, it is a seasonal place.

First time was a good experience. Second time Came from Houston with friends. Made reservations ahead of time. Food was poor quality and expensive, service was ok. Owner was rude.

The pork chop dinner is quite costly. Moreover, I feel that although the pork chop is tender, it lacks additional flavors and appears dry. Maybe I can suggest adding a topping of blue cheese butter or goat cheese butter, accompanied by another dish that goes well with the apples. The service provided was excellent!

terrible food
Been going there every year during Bluebonnet season. Nothing different this year except for when we arrived they were closed on a Sunday.
We stopped by after our visit to Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site. We were starving and told this was literally the only restaurant in town. They have a VERY limited menu. And by that, I mean you have a choice between 2 things. They also serve a few desserts. There were 4 of us, and we each got a pulled pork sandwich, a can of soda, and a Peach cobbler. The sandwich was ok. The cobbler was good, but I've had better. The waitress was amazingly sweet, so it made the whole experience a bit better since the food was just ok. The crazy part was the bill. It was $76!!! And we were still hungry when we left. My advice is to stop for some ice cream but drive to the next town for food.
Love this spot. Excellent food and lovely atmosphere. Be sure to see the two donkeys out back! They are gentle and precious.
Love this place! Country Store just off the highway in the beautiful rolling hills....cold drinks and friendly folks! A must stop on this back roads journey.
I was there for a graduation party and the food was absolutely amazing and the ladies working there were fantastic! What an adorable place, can't recommend it enough!
