Got lucky to get a table after dropping in. The food was so good, the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was nostalgic. Be sure to call for reservations and to make sure they are open, it is a seasonal place.
The pork chop dinner is quite costly. Moreover, I feel that although the pork chop is tender, it lacks additional flavors and appears dry. Maybe I can suggest adding a topping of blue cheese butter or goat cheese butter, accompanied by another dish that goes well with the apples. The service provided was excellent!
We stopped by after our visit to Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site. We were starving and told this was literally the only restaurant in town. They have a VERY limited menu. And by that, I mean you have a choice between 2 things. They also serve a few desserts. There were 4 of us, and we each got a pulled pork sandwich, a can of soda, and a Peach cobbler.
