Our wedding was in June 2025, and the cakes and cupcakes were absolutely amazing! We did the cake-tasting box, which was so fun, and picked a lemon cake with cream cheese icing and a raspberry drizzle. We had a variety of cupcakes, including chocolate, cookie dough, and lemon. We opted to have the bite-sized cupcakes and the traditional-sized cupcakes. Once the night was over, we had 8 cupcakes left due to everyone enjoying them so much. We had just enough cake left to keep the top tier for our first anniversary and have a couple pieces each a couple days after the wedding. To this day, we keep getting asked who baked the cake and cupcakes. This company is absolutely amazing, and we will for sure be stopping here every chance we get. Stopped by about 30 minutes before they closed the evening before Thanksgiving. I know everyone had such a long day with the holiday but I still received exceptionally excellent service, the gals were all very friendly and smiled through the whole conversation. I asked the sweet lady behind the counter what her favorite in the case was and she recommended the cholocate Nutella cupcake. Y'ALL. It was THE BEST chocolate cupcake I have EVER had. I make my own from scratch all the time because I'm so picky with chocolate cakes and cupcakes. I like the chocolate flavor to punch you in the face, the buttercream to be light and fluffy, and for the cake to be moister than an oyster. They absolutely nailed that chocolate cupcake in every single way! Literally I think if my eyes could have rolled back in my head any further in the first bite I would have seen my brain. It was everything I had wished and dreamed it would be. Divine, just perfectly divine. I can't wait to go back and try all of the other delicacies, and that chocolate nutella one will definitely be on my list. Chocolate lovers, if you're jonesing for a fix, this is your place! 11/10! Will absolutely be back over and over again!

Iv come here a loooot this past year and the cult favorite is my go to but it no longer comes with powdered sugar which is what made it stand out. When asked if they could add some the young lady said they were trying to save the powdered sugar..? Not sure what that's about. Other than that the sweets are great. Some simple stuff like a brownie is a big over priced but for luxury baked goods they are beautiful

Bittersweet is phenomenal. If you’re not from waxahachie (like us), it’s an absolute treat! There’s so much to love about this bakery, apart from the to-die-for brownies and holiday options, but it’s SO much more than brownies. A local bakery, who cares about their community? You have customers for life in us, no matter what you sell! 🫶🏻Businesses like that are hard to come by.. The owner even shares her recipes and does classes! I’ll never be able to bake, and I’ve accepted that, but it’s because of people and places like Bittersweet bakery that our community is a place people want to live! We all have our niches.. and I’m so glad to see you are a key part of the Ellis county community!

Decorated very aesthetically pink! Small shop with outdoor seating. Our cashier was very sweet, and gave her suggestions. We bought a Chocolate chip cookie, pumpkin roll and sour cream cheesecake slice which came out to $15. My husband liked the cheesecake slice and the chocolate chip cookie was very good (especially with milk), I was sad my pumpkin roll was hard but taste was good!

My family and I love this bakery. The red velvet cake(AMAZING) is our go to. It is a must have for every birthday in our house. There was a minor mixup with our order this time which was brought to my attention by the bakery before I even noticed. The bakery went ABOVE and BEYOND to make it right. Thanks to Bittersweet Bakery, my son’s birthday was a red velvet heaven! 100/10 definitely recommend!!

My boyfriend surprised me with a cake from this bakery and just thought I’d share my/his experience 🥰 my boyfriend lives out of state at the moment and ordering a cake seemed to be difficult since it would all have to be done through email. This bakery was the ONLY one that responded in our entire area. Not only was their customer service great but the cake was absolutely beautiful! We had one of the Créme Bruleé Signature Cakes & it was so gorgeous. I felt like it was a wedding cake it looked so beautiful! And the best part... it was outrageously delicious!! It even had some of the crunchy bruleé in the middle layer which was a tasty surprise. We also put together a box of cupcakes (my fav!), mini bundt cakes & cookies from the case & they were on point in every way. Perfect sweetness, perfect moisture, and all the fillings, icing & toppings were a perfect match to each individual creation. Met the owner Angel & some of her team while there & they were all very sweet & not bitter at all, wink wink ;) Cutest little shop too (an old time gas station). Highly recommend stopping in to try their yummy treats!

Bittersweet “knocked it out of the park” with this one!! Our son’s cake turned out exactly like he wanted & it tasted AMAZING!!! Everyone asked where we got it because we all agreed it’s one of the best cakes ever!! So moist & great flavor without being too sweet!! 10/10 recommend
