I came across Bitter Sweet Bakery when doing a general search for a cookie cake. A friend from work requested a cookie cake for her birthday and I wanted to make it happen. I did not just want a standard, thin, general decorated mall like cookie cake though. I called Bitter Sweet Bakery twice, then sent an email for my specific request. Went ahead and placed my order online so it was done in a timely manner. My request was for a deep dish Cookie Monster cake (not the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street) but the one from cheddars restaurant. I knew they wouldn’t be able to do Ice cream on top but I was wanting a light frosting that could look like ice cream with chocolate drizzled all over it with real cherries on top. I made my order on Friday needing it for Tuesday the following week. Bitter Sweet bakery closed on Sunday and Monday. I received an email originally stating they could not do my request. I was bummed but at the price of $35 I felt like their cake online would be good too. Had a friend pick up the cake for me, and guys I think I was more excited to see the cake than my friend was! Bitter Sweet Bakery NAILED the image I had in my head!!!! Thank you guys so much for doing such an awesome job! The cake design was perfectly executed and the taste superb. The cookie cake was a deep dish cake and tasted like homemade chocolate chip cookies. Not like the cheap mall cookie. I will forever use you guys as my go to bakery! You have a customer for life.

We were looking for a bakery to handle our wedding. Nobody would talk to us about it in store. They said we had to go online. So I went online to request an appointment for decoration and tasting and nobody will respond to the emails. I received one email back asking if I had any ideas in mind and days have passed with no response. That is completely unprofessional and disrespectful especially for someone trying to plan their wedding.

What a cute place! This used to be a gas station and has been converted into an adorable bakery. It's welcoming and pretty inside, has a covered display area for all the delectable cakes and cupcakes, and the staff will help you to pick your treats and make a little box for you. We tried the chocolate cake, berry mini bundt, lemon cupcake and strawberry cupcake, not only were they beautifully made, but were moist and so yum! This is gonna' be my new spot for sweet treats!

We met with Bittersweet and ordered a three tier cake for our wedding. They were great to work with and designed the cake perfectly. The day of we ended up asking them to deliver it a couple hours earlier than originally thought, and they were so flexible and kind about it! The cake itself was delicious, and our guests raved about it. We got snickerdoodle and champagne cake and oh my goodness! Usually couples have quite a bit of leftover cake after the wedding, but not us! Our guests loved it so much that we only had a few slices left. Highly recommend ordering a cake from Bittersweet for your event!

We knew from our first step into their cute shop, we would be so happy to work with Bittersweet Bakery for our wedding cake and dessert table. Their design was exactly what we wanted and the cake was beautiful and tasted amazing, along with the cookies and brownies. I just wished we lived closer to this bakery, because we would definitely be repeat customers for every occasion.

Very impressed with Bittersweet Bakery! Communication and submitting my order request was so easy. End results were bee-utiful! I was blown away when we opened the box to see the finished product. Not only did it look great, it tasted wonderful as well. I got the lemon and it was the perfect amount of sweet and tangy. Buttercream frosting was delicious as well. HIghly recommend! I almost missed getting a picture before it was cut, so the medallion was already moved...but as you can see, it still looks perfect.

This bakery is the BOMB. Wish I lived in Waxahachie just so I could make frequent visits. I had my sister in law pick up one of their birthday cakes to bring to my daughters bday in Keller. I asked for the drip color to be “Barbie” pink and they nailed it.
Such a beautiful bakery! We bought cupcakes and a Cookiemonster and the really nice lady gave us another Brownie top try. It was delicious and the prices are really fair. I recommend every visitor of Waxahachie to go there.
