My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new and decided to give this place a try and from the moment we walked in we felt very unwelcome. The cashier seemed like it was an inconvenience to ask for a menu to see what they had. When it came to actually ordering our food, the pregnant lady tried making me feel stupid for asking how many tacos come with an order considering that most places have them in 3’s. I didn’t even get rice or beans just 2 greasy tacos in a small, store-bought container. I didn’t even eat them, my bf did and it messed up his stomach. They didn’t even tell us our food was ready. They just placed it in the counter and my bf was watching them and waiting to see if they would call it out and they did not. Maybe they were just having a bad day because they were empty or something but this place is not worth it in my opinion.

Hate to be like this. I love local business BUT these folks just can't get it together. Stale chips,out of margaritas mix at 5pm,out of Carne guisada,in fact they were out of alot right down to the toothpicks. Then tried to keep my husband's Stanley thermos we use for his thickit so he doesn't choke on beverages(paralyzed vocal chord) when we walked out for 1 min. Basically rude,arrogant, & raggedy.

Nothing fancy here. The food is edible, not an overwhelming flavor. I had the Bistec Mexicano, thin sliced meat mostly devoid a flavor, and the tortillas were thin store-bought. I’d consider this restaurant average at best.

I regret not taking a picture of the slop before writing this review. First let me say I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Asked for chip & salsa as I waited on my order & the cashier tried charging me, they even thought I was stealing a soda I previously paid for from the self serve refrigerator, the cooks & bus boys came from the back watching me like a hawk as I opened the refrigerator door to retrieve my pre paid beverage. The food is worse than the service, tables dirty, food on floor I should’ve walked out like I witnessed others do as I waited for my order. Needless to say I ended up throwing it all in the trash even the stale chips and tasteless salsa, I will never return here and I do mean NEVER!
This is an awesome Mexican family restaurant! My favorite restaurant in Waxahachie. The chicken enchiladas with salsa verde are magnificent. Been enjoying great food here over 20 years. If there is something else needed , they are quick to bring it.

I liked to eat at this restaurant because of its delicious Menudo, but now I ordered takeout and I think that they no longer had it because the flavor was so different that it seems like they added water to it to make it work.It didn't have any of the flavor it always has ?
