Texan here. Got to be the worsts bbq I’ve ever had. Brisket tough and the sauce is awful! The Mac and cheese was quite good. Definitely do not recommend. Just my opinion.

So sad that they HEB bbq beans with brisket is so nasty now. It use to be my favorite thing and would spend the money on them but after wasting 14.99 on the leftover fat meat and no spice grossness never again.

The service was incredible! We had never been here and Rhonda was so kind and helpful! She explained the menu, offered to use a coupon for us, and kept refilling our drinks throughout (it's not a sit down restaurant with waiters/waitresses, so this was above and beyond)!
The food was so good! The creamed corn, ribs, cornbread, and pulled pork were our favorite!
Also it was SO FAST! Definitely will come back again!

I’ve always enjoyed the flavor of the ribs at True BBQ, but my recent visits have left me feeling shortchanged. I ordered a half rack and was served six ribs. I even asked was my order wrong. I thought they gave a quarter rib which is what i usually get. According to the staff, their standard portion is 6 ribs for a half rack. Based on the portion i was served, it looked more like a quarter rack portion. The ribs were trimmed so small they looked like mini babyback ribs. Most restaurants typically serve 6-8 ribs for a half rack based on size and cut of the ribs. However, my last couple of visits to True BBQ left me feeling over charged and under seved.
