Not sure what to make of it. The food comes very close to original German food I know from growing up in Germany. And the food there is really not bad, I think it lacks on detail to make it perfect (especially the Kartoffelsuppe, the Rindsroulade and the Paprikagulasch). Also some dishes were not served kitchen-hot, but on cold dishes.

Food took a very long time for only 3-4 tables of guests, then came one at a time and had to ask waitress fiddling at register if she'd go check on last plate. They were out of several items on the menu. Food was good decent when it arrived.

We love Alpine. They have the sourest of sauerkraut which we love, wonderful German potato salad, sour/flavorful, great red cabbage that is sweet to balance out the sour and AWESOME schnitzel. We also had the stuffed cabbage to go. OMG Yum I wish there were more! It only comes with one roll but I think it should come with two for the price, not a complaint just something to think on. We love Alpine!
Excellent food prepared by a caring and diverse staff. Family run and operated, been in business since the 60's, i have been a customer since the 70's. Some of you may remember the Telephone Road location.
