Cody (one of the owners) greeted as I came in and helped me pick out a snack and drink. With her recommendations I ended up ordering the Goat Scone and Maple Cardamom Latte, and… WOW! I died and went to heaven. That was the most scrumptious combo!! The scone had a perfect crispy crumb on the outside but was light and fluffy in the inside and the flavors were phenomenal! The latte was a perfect balance of spice, subtle sweetness, and quality espresso. Hands down my new favorite coffee shop. I don’t want my coffee/treat money going anywhere else haha.
TL/DR: 10/10 recommend Great experience, divine food and drink!

Review for The Blackline Coffee Shop
I had a really unpleasant experience here that I feel needs to be shared. I called ahead to check if my order was ready, and the staff on the phone told me it was and that I could come straight to the counter. When I did, a tall staff member in short shorts with a visibly annoyed expression began reprimanding me, accusing me of “barking orders” and skipping the line — which I had not done. I calmly explained that I was simply asking for a drink carrier and had been instructed to go to the counter directly.
Instead of de-escalating or checking with his coworkers, he continued to act aggressively. I decided to walk out to avoid further confrontation, and he shouted after me that he had my drink carrier — something that should have been ready from the start.
Even after I reminded him that I was told to go directly to the counter, he admitted he didn’t know and continued to be rude. It was an unnecessarily negative encounter that left a bad taste in my mouth, and honestly, it affected the whole energy of the place for everyone around.
I hope the staff at Blackline can reflect on this and prioritize clear communication and respectful service in the future.

Best donuts i’ve tasted, maybe ever! Seriously. I went for the first time last week for coffee then back a second time yesterday to do some typing and try the Cowboy Cake and Classy AF donut, along with a jalapeño kolache. I pigged out and i’m proud. Amazing quality in each bite!
I grew up in League City and always compared every donut and kolache i’d eat to the ones from Shipley Do-Nuts on Main St. The best outta all the Shipley’s. Well, now I have another favorite spot. Today i had the cinnamon roll and dayum! It was a life-changing one, the bread and frosting were just right. So i give this spot a 10 and will be a loyal regular. Awesome work by the Blackline Coffee & Donuts team!

This place has the goods!! Its a true hidden gem in the community. As a coffee and connoisseur, I can assert their coffee is absolutely delicious! They change up their donut menu monthly, and they always amaze me. Highly recommend!

I can't prove it but I think they look down at the weight challenged. I used to love going there in the first year and then it was like I dont exist lately. I know they are big into fitness maybe that's it or maybe its Public square related. Maybe I just keep ordering on the wrong day and just look sad.

Blackline Coffee & Donuts is the real deal. Johnny, the owner, is as personable and authentic as it gets—he makes you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The coffee is legit—rich, bold, and crafted with care. The OG donut? Fantastic. And the gluten-free banana bread? Absolutely off the charts. The whole place has a vibe that’s hard to describe but easy to feel. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.
