For the best food you have to be aware of timing. For instance, Saturday at 5:30. Everything is super fresh full really good but then come in at 6:45 on a Sunday night and it’s all old wrapping up for the weekend so it was not as good. But loved all the veggie choices that they had.

Me and my wife have never been to a Lubys restaurant before. This is our first experience. The service was great. The food was really good. The atmosphere was really good. I’m definitely coming back. I got the roast beef, but I guess it was a bad day for roast beef because it was like chewing rubber bands, it was very rubbery and I couldn’t really get my moneys worth for that dish. Roast beef to hard almost like chewing extra just to eat it. Jalapeño corn bread nasty. The waitress didn't clean up plates for a long time didn't offer refills until she went by and I had to ask for refill and plates taken away. The cashier asked if I was going to get cash to tip waitress. Also she charged me 5 Jalapeño when I grabbed 2. Charged me extra plate of food as well. It me and wife only. Four sides each.
