Review: Pappasito’s on Gulf Freeway – 12/11/25, 6:30 PM
My family of four had one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve ever had at any Pappasito’s location. We arrived at 6:30 PM and were seated promptly. Our server greeted us right away, brought our drinks (three teas and a water), and we ordered queso and chips, which arrived in a reasonable amount of time. After that, everything went downhill.
We waited over 30 minutes without any update on our entrées. Meanwhile, we watched a table that was seated at least 10 minutes after us receive their food before we did. The restaurant was not busy, and there were no large parties, so it was clear something had gone wrong.
What made the situation worse was the lack of communication. Our server didn’t check in for a long stretch, and although we saw a manager visit another table to apologize for their wait, he never approached us. We didn’t see him again until my husband walked over to the bar area—where several staff members were standing around—to ask whether our food had even been made. At that point, he told them that if the food was ready, we would take it to go, and if not, we wanted to cancel the order altogether.
A few minutes later, the manager handed my husband a zeroed-out bill. No apology, no explanation, no acknowledgment that we had two hungry, frustrated children who had been waiting far too long.
This was, by far, our worst visit to any Pappasito’s. With so many Tex-Mex options in Houston, it’s hard to imagine returning to this location after an experience like this.

Had a great experience with Kelton and the manager Alec (maybe Alex?) The food is always amazing here but this time they really went above our typical dinner. Russell and his Team are truly the best in the business. This is my first choice for TexMex and it should be yours too!

Well I still can’t believe what I paid for 2 taco plates. But I absolutely love this franchise but when I did a pick up order from here I asked for the price and they said they’d tell me when I got there. The food was cold and one of the tacos had 2 small pieces of meat. I will say this is not the norm for this place. But by the time I discovered it I was home already.
Needless to say I was very disappointed and I’ll post my receipt

Always a great atmosphere, great food, attentive service, and friendly staff. Kelton and Alec really took good care of us. What i thought was going to be just another dinner, turned out to be a wonderful experience. Will definitely recommend to anyone who hasnt been to the Pappasitos in Webster on the Gulf Freeway. 10/10

This restaurant not only has amazingly delicious food, but the service truly warms your heart. Our server, Andrea, was absolutely wonderful. She made sure we had everything we needed and even brightened our visit with a few laughs. If you come here, I can’t recommend Andrea enough, she’ll make your experience extra special.

I visited the Webster location recently and received fabulous service from Andrea. She helped me decide to branch out and try the Mirage margarita which is now my new favorite. She truly was so welcoming and made me feel at home. Keep it up!

Great fajitas, the lunch size portion was more than enough for one person. Queso was fantastic.

This place has delicious food and wait staff is attentive. Only downside is that the bar gets backed up so it takes a little while to get drinks. Also they're tables are very small and it's difficult to get some elbow room on such small tables. The best part about this restaurant is the food, staff and one of the managers, Chris. They were extremely helpful and friendly. They made our visit that much more enjoyable.

Rey made our visit to this location the best we’ve ever had! She was knowledgeable about the menu and expertly helped us select the lamb (that was delicious). She was efficient and equally as kind. Our family looks forward to visiting again soon.

The Tex-Mex lunch beef enchilada and tamale plate was NOT Tex-Mex. It was from Michoacàn, Mexico. A huge disappointment with tamales de dulce on top of banana leaves, a terrible enchilada, and the worst pinto beans I've ever tasted. They tasted like the bottom of the pot of three-day-old beans. What happened? You used to have wonderful Tex-Mex food!
