Service was fine- the lady that assisted me with my to go order was very kind. The atmosphere was very chill and calm, but when I initially walked in, I was unsure who to ask if it was sit yourself seating or if I had to wait on someone to sit me so I opted to just go to the bar and order to go there. The place was pretty full but there were a few tables open that I was able to wait at for my food to be ready to take home. Found it a little weird that the lady brought my food to the table that was to go, but then took it all the way back to the bar for me to grab from there. Because of the name of the restaurant, I was truly expecting the pho to be really good, but the pho ga was awful. It had a really bad smell to it first, thinking my sense of smell was tricking me again, I tasted the chicken and confirmed it was bad, and even getting rid of the chicken wasn't enough as the broth was bad, too. On the upside, I was very happy with the bahn mi and mint green tea- both were great and sweet (tea was somewhere in the middle for sweetness, but it was light and refreshing). The vegetables were fresh and it was very large portion for the sandwich that I got. Overall, I am unsure if I would return to this place since I really came for the pho and was disappointed, but I truly liked the atmosphere for this location. It was a very calm environment, easy to speak/think and lighting was great (I am migraine sufferer and it was soothing). They also have a pretty large food options to try as well.

I really wanted to like Pho Barr, but my experience fell far short of expectations in several ways. The service was genuinely disappointing from start to finish. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, we waited about 30 minutes for our food while it was obvious that to go orders were being prioritized over dine in customers.

When the food finally arrived, the portion sizes were comically small for the price. It felt like the bowls were more broth than actual food. Meat and noodles were so skimpy. I had a total of 5 bites for noodles.. To make matters worse, we weren't given napkins and had to flag someone down to ask for some, which added to the already sloppy service experience. Funny how others have mentioned this in their review as well.

Overall, between the long wait, tiny portions, and lack of basic attention to customers, Pho Barr missed the mark in almost every way. Definitely not a place l'd rush back to or recommend. I hope they improve their dine in service.

Spring rolls are bland and they skimp on the tofu and shrimp. The sauce had no flavor and seemed watered down. I called and was told lesser prices for foods ordered and they were almost twice as much when I went in to pick up order. Definitely not a 4.7 rating (as shown).

Been here a million times. Our favorite Vietnamese spot in this area. The shaking beef, vermicelli bowls, egg rolls and banh mi are all delicious!

The ultimate fries were the best part about it unfortunately, for being a place that specializes in PHO it sure was bland. The server cursed while talking to us and also only came to our table once and then had someone else take the check to us. The only time we were asked if everything was good was when he gave us the food. We were given no refills on our water and no one checked on us. Extremely disappointed, had very high expectations for this place and they failed me.

Pho is about the only decent thing here I keep forgetting when I order the rice plates that they use cheap meat and then they hide it in this cheap sugary sauce, which I don’t know why when and other restaurants and most Vietnamese cuisine the meat is grilled or charbroiled . It’s not covered in a sauce, a sweet sugary sauce, but I think it’s because the meat quality is poor. You can tell the chicken it’s like frozen chicken from store-bought.. anyway it’s pretty expensive to have it all drenched in some sauce and it not taste fresh. Also, the side condiments is one lettuce, one cucumber and a bunch of shaved carrots when most Vietnamese cuisine serves you a lot of lettuce, a lot of cucumber, etc. and then they charge you extra if you ask for a decent amount of lettuce, etc..
