I was craving chicken and waffles and was looking around for a breakfast place that has it and I am more than happy that I went with the Water Oak Cafe. Chicken was nicely seasoned and breaded and the waffle was delicious, especially in combination with the cinnamon butter.
Great breakfast/brunch spot with indoor/outdoor seating.

Randomly stopped in, thought I’d stumbled onto the set of America’s Next Top Models 👀 Everyone was so effortlessly cool. Coffee and blueberry biscuit were insanely good too.
Coffee was Luke warm and weak and the spiced pumpkin latte was also Luke warm and had no detectable pumpkin or spice. French omelet needed more egg, Les filling but is delicious. The vanilla waffle is the best I’ve ever tasted.

Stylish atmosphere, great service and a delicious breakfast. It was too early for me, but they have a bar.

Food was delicious and fresh. Meal price average is around $15 per person. I recommend joining the online waitlist due to there being a wait time depending what time you go.

“Overpriced, Outdated, and Overly Petty”
Water Oak Café and Bakery was definitely not my cup of tea. The food and drinks were overpriced, and the overall design and decor felt like a throwback to the 1990s diner era — complete with some of the most uncomfortable chairs I’ve ever sat in.
The experience went downhill from there. We asked if we could sit at a side table, but were told those were “already reserved.” Moments later, a couple seated at one of those tables also complained about how uncomfortable the chairs were. We kindly offered to swap some of our extra chairs (since there were four at our table and only two of us), and they accepted.
That’s when things got ridiculous. The staff made an over-the-top fuss about us switching out the chairs, insisting they needed to change them back because they were “different” — instead of just waiting until we all left. Honestly, pick your battles. It felt petty and unnecessary, and it turned an already mediocre visit into a frustrating one.
Bottom line: We won’t be back. Keep the pettiness — I’ll keep my money.

Great experience other than the 1 hour wait. The blue berry chicken biscuit was awesome. The coffee have a full flavor I just with the glass wa bigger. Honestly one of the best bruches I have had in a while. The flavors where for rich and unique.

I've been here before, but the last few times I've noticed a definite decrease in service. The staff seem disorganized and almost distracted, very inefficient service. And my friend ordered soup which she said was warm but not hot, ...seems like a possible food safety issue

Brunch was very mediocre. Tried their brisket dish and I don't think the chef understands what constitutes brisket. They are serving regular cubed beef fajita style meat and saying it's brisket. Just take a look at this picture

I’ve been eating here for a long time. I get their sunrise tostadas and they are always on point. Water oak cafe, please don’t ever change your high quality, you are my go to breakfast almost on a weekly basis when I’m in the area.
