If you're watching your salt intake, ask them to go light on seasoning. Everything is cooked to order so its fresh. Wow! 5 stars is not enough! My wife and I ate here yesterday, and I have to say the food and service was outstanding! The food was so good that it took me back to my child hood. The ice tea is to die for! The fried chicken, fish, cabbage, greens were all seasoned to perfection. Do yourself a favor and stop in, you will not regret it!. ?

The Real Deal Soul Food is a hidden gem in Schulenburg, TX. The food, atmosphere, and SERVICE is FANTASTIC. We stopped for lunch when traveling between San Antonio and Houston and her glad we did. It is right off of interstate 10 eastbound. My wife had a hamburger which was fantastic. I had a chicken fried steak and collard greens and they’re the best collard greens I have had. the chef came out and asked us if we were pleased which we were.
