The food was really good and the service was also really good .
We were really looking forward to dinner at Milano’s, but unfortunately, the experience was frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. Our party of three was seated quickly and we placed our orders right away. Despite this, the food came out incredibly slow and staggered.
After 30 minutes, only one of us received their pizza. He really liked his pizza. 15 minutes later, another dish came out and it was honestly inedible. It was swimming in an overly oily sauce that overwhelmed the pasta and mushrooms. The salad that came with it arrived after the entrée, and we were told it was delayed because they had run out of lettuce. When it finally came, it tasted like bottled Kraft dressing. It didn’t taste fresh or house-made.
As for my order, I never even received it. They told me the pizza was made incorrectly and needed to be remade. After waiting another 30 minutes, they came back and said they made it wrong again, but asked if I could “just take it as is.” They said it had pepperoni so I’d like it. I declined as it was not what I ordered. At that point, we had been waiting about an hour and a half, and I never got to eat. We had to leave.
Our waitress was kind and professional, and none of this was her fault.
Then, when we went to check out, they were having computer issues. Probably nobody’s fault, but it just dragged things out even more. By the time we finally left, we were over 30 minutes late to our show, despite arriving with plenty of time to eat beforehand.
We left hungry, disappointed, and feeling like our business didn’t matter. Sadly, we won’t be returning. Bread was fire though.
Milano’s in Weslaco is a great place. I have been coming here for over 25 years and it is always consistent with great food, service, and atmosphere. Our waitress Analisa treats us like family. You can’t miss with Milano’s!
I love love the food. Great food & great service. They are so friendly and make you feel at home.
Delicious food and amazing service!
This was a great experience where the kids were able to learn to make pizza.
Two of us I had three Groupons to use worth $20 each. I fallowed all rules on it . It was for take out only . Right away I told them I had three Groupons to use on three pick up orders. No problem they said , they took my order of three pizzas . We waited two hours for pizza and I offered to save time and pay before pizza was ready , they said no wait . Ok , two hours and pizza was ready . When I go to pay nobody knows how to use a Groupon. Said they need to call owner . Now they had two hours to figure this out ! Three pizzas sit on counter getting cold while owner wanted pictures of Groupons sent text to him . That was done by waiter . Then he says I can only use one . I said then you should’ve said that before I oderded and nowhere on Groupon did it say that .they called owner again . He now says my Groupons are not valid . I pulled them up and said there is ups code so screen it . They say they don’t know how . So after 2 1/2 hours we walked out and left three cold pizzas since they refused to use our Groupon . This is Friday , so they tell me come back Tuesday and figure it out with owner . Hmmmm I live a hour away and even if I lived down the street in not wasting anymore time in this place ! The waiters did the best they could . Told me they have to do what owner says and they tried their best with him not answering his phone or knowing how to use Groupons that he signed up for . And leaves untrained staff to run the place without showing then how . I left my number for him to call me . Will see if he even cares enough about customers . This was our first time trying out the place . Will be our last !
This is the best place to get homemade Italian pizza
So we went to this place finally to see how good and authentic their italian food was.. I'm sorry to say that I was very disappointed.. We sat next to the window where they had some brown shutters and let me tell you they were full of dust for one. We moved our table away from the windows so that dust wouldn't blow on our food . Secondly, I ordered the eggplant parmesan. It was tasteless, had no flavor the spaghetti was half cooked.. My husband ordered pizza with pepperoni and sausage. They just threw the pepperoni on top of the pizza. It wasn't even cooked.. I know they were busy but come on, get your game together. People pay good money to get good food. I hate to say but we will never eat at this restaurant again.. We will stick to Bella Mia in McAllen. Now, that's some tasty Italian food!!!! They may not be italian , but it tastes a whole lot better than this place!! The only good experience we had was our waitress which was so sweet and attending even though she seemed very overwhelmed..

I’ve been going to this restaurant since I was a kid. The food here is amazing, ambiance is great and the service is to the highest standard. Josiah’s blackened chicken is delectable. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant

So sad that Milano's food and service is not the same. We have eaten there several times and have spent special occasions there. Last night was at another level. First, our appetizer, which was listed as portabella mushrooms. Turns out they serve regular deep-fried mushrooms. I'm guessing they think we don't know the difference in mushroom types. They were still good but not what I thought we had ordered. Second and most importantly my husband's lasagna looked like they had just beat it in a box and then served it. The tomato sauce smelt like dog food (unfortunately). My meal was supposed to be a light battered shrimp. (the batter was soft, and the shrimp were raw). On a positive note, though, my daughter's seafood linguini was delicious, and the table oil and bread were good. Our server tried to do his best; he was young. We left hungry and disappointed and still dropped a C-note.

Went late night restaurant was a little empty server (female didn't catch her name sorry) was very friendly made sure we were always having something to drink, tried fried cheese was really good (daughter provided the video) and the marinara sauce was home made, the chef heard was out first time so he gave us some free calipari (very good) pizza came in hot soft and good. Will probably go back again to try out some other stuff.
