Our waiter every time we come is Daniel and he has made us lifetime fans of this restaurant! He feels like a part of our family now.

The atmosphere really shines at this restaurant. The covered outdoor patio is comfortable and spacious. The service is very friendly. The drinks are strong (my favorite was the peacemaker). Great food with light and heavier options, and easy to share. The burrito is excellent.
Parking: This probably depends on timing, but for a weeknight evening, it was easy to find a 2-hour parking space right across the street.

I went for solo brunch and got great service. The bartender and the expeditor worked together to take care of me with an 8-top trying to ruin my day.
When the Huevos Divorciados arrived, the eggs were cooked perfectly. When I cut into them I could tell that they were higher quality than commodity eggs. The garnish of avocado, red onion, and microgreens was pristine, and the red and green salsas were flavorful.
The margarita tasted like lime and sugar and tequila, as one should. I looked at the ceiling, and it was clean.
The menu indicates vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options.

Maximo was ok. Music was way too loud to sit inside but there patio outside is great. Service was fairly good but took a bit to get water refills and when I finished my margarita (which was excellent btw) I pushed the empty glass to the end of the table and never got asked if I wanted another. Their chicken tortilla soup is thick and more like a chili. The steak and egg huarache was quite good but the crispy blue corn shell underneath was quite tough to cut. The taquitos Dorados were good as well. Nice to try new places but probably won't return.

We are visiting Houston and on a whim tried Maximo. It was amazing. The atmosphere is cozy but not small feeling. Service from start to finish was great. Staff is very courteous and continually checked on us. The chips and queso were very flavorful and the tacos were great! Because it was our first time they gave us free desert. We picked the Tres Leches and it did not disappoint! 10/10 experience!

Super safe spot but the food is incredibly meh. Suadero taco flat out misses, fish taco gets a B while the carrot taco had the most promise. Tortilla soup was a muddled mess and the Caesar salad was good but needed more lemon to brighten its pop.
Service was good and prices are fairly reasonable.
One final note - it seems like the tortillas were undercooked as they tasted more like raw masa than a tortilla kissed by the comal.
The bar for good tacos is much higher than what you get at Maximo’s…
