Maximo is such a gem. Food is delish and we love the champagne selection and pricing for brunch!

All of our food was good, and most of it was EXCEPTIONAL! Highly recommend the shrimp flauta and the branzino (the branzino was the best part of the meal). The ambience is extremely eclectic, aesthetic, and cozy. The restaurant is on the smaller side— so it's a great intimate date night with your partner or friends. The server was also very attentive and thoughtful! He brought us out an extra dish to try (on the house) and they were able to accommodate a nut allergy well.

The tasting menu and drink pairing is incredibly well thought out and balanced excellently. The service was outstanding and thought out explaining each dish and pairing with enthusiasm, and even included a free dessert for my girlfriends birthday celebration. The atmosphere was incredibly intimate. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

It was a very loud evening. Lots of chatter from fellow diners. Lighting was dim and cozy. Service was quick. Choice was extremely limited being vegetarian. Would have liked to try the tasting menu if all 5 courses were vegetarian. Overall, food quality was good but portions were small for the prices paid.

There are very few places where every dish is a homerun. Maximo is one of those places. Each dish was an explosion of fresh flavors. Perfect harmony of herbs & seasoning. I'd be here way too often if I lived in West U. This chef is extremely talented. (this visit we ate: Tuna Tiradito, roasted oysters, Duck carnitas benedict, Pork Belly dish I can't remember the name of) Since my last visit, I believe they added the "walls" around the patio seating. Looks like the patio is good for most weather conditions now. I've only sat at the bar and the indoor seating. This was my 3rd visit. I will try the patio next time.

This place was amazing. Nick the bartender was incredible. Unique drinks, some of the best I have had. We did the tasting menu. The bar might be small, but if you get the chance, I would recommend sitting there. Great experience.

Excellent food and lovely ambiance. Honestly the pricing for the quality of food and skills displayed is unbeatable. I sat at the bar and honestly it was so enjoyable to interact with the staff throughout the dinner. I have to come back for brunch. I ordered about two things from every section and the only thing that fell flat were the roasted oysters. They were tasty but flavor wise felt more muted than all the exciting flavors from other dishes. Thanks to all the staff!

Our experience was amazing. The New Year's menu was delicious and the pairing was perfect. My favorite was the molote de huitlacoche but everything tasted great. The service was friendly and helpful and the ambiance was comfortable and joyful. Even the music was a good choice. This is the second time we try a tasting menu here and we are looking forward to more of the delicious flavors that Maximo has to offer.

We recently visited Maximo and chose the chef's tasting menu. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. The service was attentive and professional, and most of the dishes were well prepared and flavorful. Unfortunately, one course did not sit well with us. The duck had an unpleasant smell, and after that dish, my stomach became upset. This stood out because the rest of the menu and the overall quality were quite good. Aside from that issue, we appreciated the atmosphere, the care from the staff, and the creativity of the chef's menu. With a bit more attention to consistency, especially with the duck dish, this could be an excellent dining experience.
