Great place for comfort food! Service is fast and food is delicious! TAMMY was our server and she is an expert at her job! They used to serve black eyed peas but took them off the menu. We miss that side dish! Another side dish they are missing in a Texas restaurant is pinto beans. Fingers crossed that the home office reads these posts and decides to return the black eyed peas or add pinto beans! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!

The waitress was friendly and attentive without being worrisome. What stands out the most, however, is how great the food was. I had eaten at the one in Palestine quite a few years back. I remember the food being good, but not this good. The pricing is good and the quality of the food was first class. I going to work them in to ny schedule once per week. Probably on Thursdays when for each adult a kid eats free.

One star deducted because of the wait. Granted, it was quite busy when I went but I occasionally saw the servers standing and talking. I waited about ten minutes before someone asked what I wanted to drink. Come on now. The food on the other hand was absolutely phenomenal. I got the Avocado Bacon Burger and it was delicious. I would highly recommend, I give it a 9.3/10 (Sorry for not adding a picture, it got devoured before I could take one). The fries were given in a small portion and needed some salt but, other than that, they were good. They were a solid 6.8/10

The cotton patch is okay. Nothing terrible to say, nor nothing great to say. They have American home comfort food and it's pretty good.

Chicken fried steak was greasy. French fries were cold. Service was poor.

While traveling I always try to go to a local/regional inspired restaurant instead of the larger nationwide chains. Cotton Patch was an excellent choice. Happened upon it while driving to meet a client this morning. Great, comfortable atmosphere with excellent service. My steak was cooked perfect, my potatoes were fully loaded, and my salad was cold and fresh! Refills kept coming! Give them a try if you've never been, toubwonttbe disappointed.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families dining here as well

I don't remember what I had because it was so long ago but I'm sure it was good because I don't remember having anything left to take home.

The menu changes monthly, and I'm not happy with the changes. The vegetable plate is now $12 (up from $8-10) and broccoli is now a premium side which costs more. It didn't used to be premium. My fiance said that the squash casserole was mostly squash skin and not as good as usual. Sautéed mushrooms has been off the menu for a while and they were a favorite of mine. We frequented Cotton Patch a lot and were able to get exactly what we wanted at a fair price, but now we feel that we can't do that. We feel that Cotton Patch is pricing itself out of our budget, which is a shame because it has always been one of our "go-to" restaurants. It's just disappointing because it used to be so good.

It was really a good place to eat. However, the service was not the best.
