What a great place to eat. I had a torta and my husband the enchiladas. The torta bread was so soft and the filling was delicious. Hubby had no leftovers and he usually does.

Amazing authentic Mexican food you won't find anywhere else in the area. The owner is a great person and the portions are very generous. I highly recommend the gorditas and enmoladas. They have a lot of daily specials too.

Authentic food, refreshing after all this Tex Mex nonsense. Love their cabeza and chicharron street tacos! 🌮 Service is friendly and my food is always ready when I come to pick it up. Very glad this place exists in Wimberley.

This food is authentic. The owners bring as much as possible.from their home start of Oaxaca. Great portions for the price. The TV was a bit loud but the place was clean and friendly.

Worst meal I've ever had in my life that I can honestly remember. The refried beans came out runny like water it was almost like a soup.

The tortillas I got seemed to be microwaved. You could tell they were previously made fresh and just being reused. The ones they reused were slightly on the burnt side at least this time.

The restaurant had a distinct scent that was not desirable. The menus seemed dirty the tables were dirty.

There were spider webs by the window as if the place has never had a full detailing. It took like 25 minutes for them to cook the food and i was the only one there.

I am blown away this place has 4.4 stars it is empty 99% of the time I drive by which is why I decided to give them some business and give it a shot. I will not be eating here again. It now makes sense why this place is never busy.

Fun comes Here

First red flag, empty parking lot just the family/staff car. Staff was a mother and son. Son was walking around with no shoes on. AFTER we had ordered, my sister took my nephew to the bathroom. We all agreed food could have been better. My sister then said, if yall had seen the bathroom yall would have NOT wanted to eat here. Apparently the bathroom was VERY dirty. We kept noticing things as we were there. No shoes, dirty salsa bottles, no gloves to serve food like onions cilantro or limes, flowers were completely dead. Overall we ate the food because we paid for it.

First off, I would like to give credit where credit is due. The food is hot, fresh and delicious. We ordered a little of the whole menu; everything was great. The aguas are not fresh, I believe they use a powder based mixture but they definitely are not made with fresh fruit.

Service - lacking, less than mediocre. Such as travesty because this would really deal the meal. The girl working I'm guessing is family to the establishment owner. She's on her phone the whole time, not proactive in actually serving you at all. You have to ask for everything, she turns away and keeps talking rather than communicating with you face on. It's very odd.

Environment - the place needs a deep cleaning. There's floor looks very dirty, near the condiments station there's old onions and cilantro stuck to the floor. We just happened to be sitting right by it so it was very visible. The area where they pour the drinks needs a good cleaning, walls, floor and counters.

This place would be amazing with the right staff and environment. For now, to go orders only.

I have lunch at Taqueria San Judas probably 3-4 times a month, and I really enjoy trying new things every time I go. The staff is helpful in answering my questions. It's very different from other mexican food spots in town. I've liked everything I've had so far!
