My wife’s food was burnt and not complete and was told that as long as the internal temperature of the meat is OK that’s all that matters the waiters were helpful but cooks could careless and food was not what it was a few months ago ?

Ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer and and a chicken strip basket received no salsa because they don’t make it anymore since it goes to waste even though it’s advertised and my chicken strips were burnt and after picking off one of the 2 strips they told me they will remove it from the ticket but then since I had eaten “half” they can give me a small discount for 3 dollars not even half the basket by itself.

The Cajun nachos were amazingly delicious, the service was great, owner was friendly and the decor is cute. I was so impressed with this place I ordered gumbo to go and it was fabulous. This born and raised Louisiana girl gives Red Tailz Woodville 5 stars!

The food was okay but the portions were definitely NOT reflective of the pricing.

We went in on a early Saturday.Tried to order shrimp poor boy, they were out of shrimp!! Asked about the bread pudding, they were out of that.I ordered the salad bar with 6 grilled shrimp. Went to salad bar and all they had was some very sad lettuce, red onions, olives, one cucumber slice, tomato and cheese. The dressing was disgusting! When the shrimp came they were so small,I received 4 but paid for 6My husband’s ordered the gumbo it had nothing but some rice a brown sauceWill never ever go back, what a ripoff!!The owner was there and thought it was the best place in town to eat!!Shame on him. !

Fantastic...the service was great and food was outstanding. We spoke to the owner and he was very personable. He regularly walked around to check in on everyone during our meal.

The food was amazing! Swamp trash was what we ordered, and it was enough for 2. We also had fried ravioli, it was great as well.3 stars on service cause she bothered us too much. She was good, but let me eat and enjoy. She reached across me to give a 3rd helping of tea, which I did not want, but my mouth was full. We were there 30 minutes tops and she came to us about 10 times. It was our Anniversary lunch. Although we were the only people for the most part, it would have been a 5 star rating if not for being bothered!

We were in town for the holiday with some friends who wanted to get some crawfish, and had never been to Red Tailz but heard good things so wanted to give it a try. They were out of crawfish because the season ended early due to the weather getting so hot so fast.We ordered:- Hush puppies - good, well fried and decently priced- Cheese curds - delicious, but really small portion for a $10.95 price tag (maybe 10-15 cheese curds total)- Fish & Shrimp Basket - our friend enjoyed this, it looked delicious and well-fried- Snow Crab Cluster - this took forever to come out. We were all done eating when our friend finally got her crab- Lobster Ravioli with popcorn shrimp - our friend really liked this, portion was decent for the price and quality- Popcorn Shrimp basket - the shrimp was well-fried, though had a lot of breading. It was more breading than shrimp- Bread pudding - pretty good, the rum sauce used is delicious- Catfish Po-boy with fries - the bread was amazing, the catfish was fried pretty wellAll in all, it was decent food at a nice, newer restaurant in town. We are hesitant to come back because the server charged us for things she didn't bring us. We were charged for two pieces of corn when our friend only ordered 1 piece, and our receipt literally said "1 corn". We also had to remind our server about the bread pudding we ordered and was charged for but never brought to the table.A chef brought it to our table and we were able to take it to go and eat it at home instead. Because we needed to leave in a rush since our friend got her crab 20+ minutes after the rest of us received our food, we didn't bring up the corn mishap and left. All of the people in our group work in the service industry, so we are understanding that these things happen, especially when it's a smaller business and family-owned. We recommend Red Tailz because the food is pretty delicious, but service-wise it falls short of our expectations.

1st fish taco tasted weird, should have stopped there and the 2nd was vomited back into the plate. Absolute horrible food! I happily paid for my meal because I chose to try this place, but will not make this mistake again. The friendly waitress, who did receive her 20%, didn’t even ask why 80% of all we ordered was still on the plate along with the gross pile of discarded remnants of a rancid taco. Hate sharing negative and hope for owner this was just a one time event, but this was a disgustingly bad experience.

We are from Cajun Country in Louisiana and the boiled crawfish here were fantastic just like at home. Wonderful fried shrimp and home made hush puppies. Bread pudding was delicious. We will definitely come back.
