The restaurant is in a good location in Hewitt, Tx with ample parking. The food was very good. I had the one meat plate with pulled pork. The meat was tender and tasted great but the dill potato salad wasn't that great and the seasoning on the green beans was OK. The sodas were $3 but they are served in a big cup so that was good.My husband had the two meat plate with smoke sausage and brisket which was tender and cooked just right. The two sides of potato salad and cold slaw were OK. The side portions are small and served in small metal cups which I believe affects the taste of the food.My biggest grip is with the small metal narrow chairs that you have to sit on. My husband and I are not big in size and still our butts were sore when we got up to leave. The floor looks unfinished and had food on it all around and under our table. The uncomfortable chairs and filthy floors means we won't be eating inside any more.Prices were typical for a BBQ restaurant, meat portions were good but side portions were too small.I wouldn't recommend dining in and skip the sides.

The brisket was moist and tasty. The sides -green beans and cole slaw were also good. I liked the small bar/grill atmosphere and the attentive service staff.

The food here is delicious! We have been here twice now and both times enjoyed our meals. The ribs are my personal favorite. The staff is very friendly. We had been running around all day with family visiting from out of town and our daughter didn't get a nap so she was an angry elf. A waitress was so sweet and brought her out a snack to help tide her over. They were all so sweet and understanding. Definitely recommend the food and the service is great!

The barbecue itself was really good. Nice size portions on a two meat plate. Brisket and ribs were tender and meaty. The sides, not so good. I got potato salad which tasted store bought and the beans that were hard and had no flavor.

Good location & atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Quick service. Pleasant staff. Food was tasty. However … $10 for a simple bbq sandwich is crazy! They have a 2 for 1 sandwich special. It seems they simply charge twice as much as necessary for the first one, to wash out any savings. But with the special, it worked out as, let’s say … average cost ??‍♂️. Overall, I enjoyed the meal, and will go back (during specials)

This was our first time here and they have been open for three months! The Brisket was very tasty and was smoked very well! The potato salad was good and also the Green Beans. We will be back!

Great owner and workers. Love the small sports bar and restaurant vibe. Good size portions for the price, however I personally didn't like the ribs and the brisket was chewy, but the Mac and cheese was on point. The fried pickles, with the hint of spice to it....on point.

Pretty happy overall with this BBQ facility. They have live music on Fri/Sat which is cool, but we the live music happens in-doors and it was too loud when we visited. We couldnt have a conversation among our group, we ended up going outside. My visit yesterday: I usually get the 3 chicken tacos. The tacos were good before, a large corn tortilla and large slices of meat. This time the meat was diced up smaller and the tortillas were smaller and doubled - MUCH better.

Wouldn't really call this place a BBQ joint....BBQ was mediocre and cold, sauce was average....so I prefer seeing my BBQ cut (when fresh and hot) and dished out like the other "real" BBQ joints do. So you don't know if you're really getting their BBQ or bringing someone else's in. Also, requested sliced brisket they brought out chopped and the smoked sausage was cold and had a chewy texture like being a half day old sitting out on a counter.Highly doubt I'll be back.

I've been a couple of times and the food was ready before I could even finish 1 drink from the bar. 2 meat plate with Brisket and Turkey was very good and more than I could eat at one setting. Very friendly staff and enjoy the live music. Very relaxing hometown atmosphere. Recommended for anyone to try.

This is a newly opened business, and I decided to give it a try for an early lunch. It was not very busy, so I had no trouble parking or being seated. It's clean and still looks brand new inside. The brisket tacos were good as were the fried jalapeño sticks. It's not like a Top 50 barbecue place, but was good for a quick lunch. I'll come back.

So, my wife and I tried this place out today. They weren't busy (three to four groups in the 2 o'clock hour). The interior of the restaurant is spacious with either bar seating, tall tables, or regular tables. The seats for the tall table are a bit less than comfortable. There is a patio equipped with several tables, freestanding heaters, and fans for whatever weather. There is an actual bar inside, but I cannot speak on quality or pricing for their alcohol. Numerous televisions throughout the place. The menu is relatively small and fairly simple, although the layout is not great. Some of the text is bold and the letters almost bleed into one another. This might be an issue for certain people with visual impairments. The prices were good. Appetizers ranged from $3-10 or so with things like wings and burnt ends going up to $12-14. Entrees ran between $10-16 with the BBQ plates going up to $27 for four choices of meat. The food was good. My wife elected to have the Mac and Cheese with pulled pork. The Mac and cheese was more akin to Velveeta shells and cheese, but definitely not boxed. I had a quesadilla with pulled pork and the "Big Jo Burger". The pulled pork was a little dry, but the quesadilla was served with BBQ sauce (sweet, not tangy) and salsa (which was a surprising highlight), plus sour cream. The burger was well made and filling, with bacon and brisket in addition to the patty. Brisket was lean, but good. Now, our server was Keith. Keith did an amazing job. He was attentive, patient, and even brought cheese sauce used for the Mac and Cheese as a suggestion for my burger without prompting.Needless to say, we'll most likely end up visiting again in the future.

Brisket and Jalapeño sausage were scrumptious. This is our new favorite bbq place! Wait staff was so friendly!
