We were invited by our puerto rican friends family. First time eating at a puerto rican restaurant and we loved it. I had a pechuga a la plancha with mofongo. It was really good 😋.

It is far from Dallas but it is worth every mile!. OMG delicious, fantastic, amaaaazing food. Extremely friendly service. Authentic food at a decent price. We will come back!

I was looking for some authentic Puerto rican food and im glad to say I found some. It took me to my mom's and tias house. I listened to salsa, not to loud , I could enjoy the food while enjoying the music. I really like the place , I will be back for sure.

This is the most authentic Puerto Rican restaurant we have found in N. TX. We drive all the way from McKinney. We are always greeted like family and we eat like it too. Everything hits just right!

We went to El Flamboyan after some recommendations, initial impression was that there was only one person taking and delivering orders as well as ringing people up at the register, the place was packed so naturally orders took a while to be taken and delivered. Looking at the menu the prices were higher than usual ($3.00 for a can of soda), we got the bacalaitos and empanadillas (while they were written in plural form it was only one of each) and they cost us $4 dollars and $3.50 respectively, they also came with disposable plates and utensils. The bacalaitos seemed like they were made from a goya packet and the empanadillas were ok. When we got our food (we ordered the can can pork chop as well as a mofongo with arroz con gandules), both were pricey dishes ($28 for the pork chops). For quality they were ok, not something I would pay premium price for though. At one point the staff went to get the trash can and he raised it above the tables and moved it across the room, passing it above most tables. The total order came out to $80+ which is extremely overpriced for 2 meals in a small restaurant. Honestly I would not recommend it.

Being away from family, it’s very difficult to get food from my roots. This is THE place to go to. I felt like I was back to a kid eating authentic food. Went out of my way for this food and would do it again and again.
