I’ve been eating here off and on for about a year. Recently, purchased the Beef Tibs and Gomen (Collard Greens). It’s always satisfying to my liking. It’s a limited menu but it works for me when I really want Habesha food and don’t want to travel too far. I went there yesterday June 3 2024 and the lady who answers the phone and cooks in the back told me they’re not providing hot food anymore. The store was totally re-arranged. I also asked about participating in a coffee ceremony and she told me they don’t have it anymore. But there’s a coffee ceremony set up right in the middle of the store. Soooo ??♀️ idk. She told me it’s only a grocery store now. I meant to grab some seasoning but she kinda threw me off. Used to be my Wylie/Murphy Go to spot.

Customer service is terrible, no acknowledging or thanking. The cashier went in the back while I was wondering around and asking if they carry specific items. You need to work on that. I want to write this after couple of experiences.
I initially went in to purchase kitfo and tibs but the kind owner informed me that she makes kitfo on Saturdays which I understood. I ordered the beef tibs and they were juicy and flavorful. I’ve eaten at numerous Ethiopian restaurants throughout the city and their tibs easily out rank some of the other establishments. It had a kick but it wasn’t overbearing. The injera was good. The prices were fair. It’s nice to have a restaurant in this part of town, considering that most of them are in Dallas. They also have a small grocery setup inside. I’d happily return and I would recommend.

Atmosphere I will say its very ethnic, clean, smells good aside from the childrens show on the tv a place I would be honored to dine at, The lady running the store doesn't speak much English so I didn't really know what I was even getting, Food was OK, I got the vegan combo plate, and vegan samosas, the samosas would be very nice I'm sure if fresh but they had been sitting by the register for who knows how long and definitely tasted stale, the combo plate comes with what I learned from reading other reviews is Injera, similar to a pancake, I got two of the Injera with the 4 different curries and some other veggie mix on top, whatever the yellow curry was my favorite I would order that again but I dont even know what its called since they only offer 1 other vegan option on their menu, the other ones were kind of meh and also maybe tasted old or low quality ingredients used to me can't really explain how I know that or what it was exactly just wasn't big on them... and the Injera itself was just too much all crammed in my clamshell. It's kind of nasty, in my opinion, until the curries soak into it. I would put Injera on the bottom and curry of one kind on top. Idk my kid liked the injera, tho. Overall, for the price of 16.99 and $1 each for the stale samosas, I probably won't go back.

The food is good. But customer service is terrible. Have someone who knows how to talk to customer at the front and answer the phone if you don’t know how to do customer service. ከፍትፍቱ ፉቱ።I hope I’ll never need anything to get Quickly and come to this place. Omg The way how they talk to me today wife on the phone and husband in person, feels like unimaginable because I’m a business owner myself and talk to a lots of people all day. But I believe for them this is “Very Norma” way of giving customer service I’m sure. ??♀️

It a beautiful, simple with nice African decor. Food is excellent. The vegan platter had 5 dishes (shiro and Misr wat were great) with good amount of injera that goes along. Very friendly and courteous service. Can’t wait to go back.

Did the take out vegan. The injira was soaked and disintegrated. So, I had to use a fork to eat it. It was like eating a mushy pie.
