I went here Friday for dinner with my grandparents; I was greeted by a young lady who took our order. She was very attentive and polite. She could visibly see my grandfather was struggling with his English speaking, so she took it upon herself to speak Spanish with him! My grandfather was very pleased that he was able to get the help needed! This made me super happy that my family is welcome in this establishment. I believe the young girl’s name was Layla. she made the experience at McAlisters the best! Thank you Layla!

Update: i wanted to add at the top of this review…the food was hot, came out quickly, and the quality is definitely there. As far as the customer service, I have received an apology from the general manager. That meant a lot to me! An apology goes a long way and am glad that McAlisters cares. Thank you for righting your wrong.

I hadn’t been to McAlister’s Wylie location in a long time. Prices had increased for the kids menu (in this economy I can understand!) it was more expensive, but it’s thanksgiving break and I wanted a treat for my kids.

Afterwards, I asked for clarification on cost of sides. A lady working behind the counter heard me ask the cashier and she made fun of me saying “oh le dolió” (Spanish for “oh it hurt” and she was referring to that the cost hurt) Everyone laughed. I do not look like I should speak Spanish, but it happens to be my first language. It hurt and I was completely taken aback.

I did respond with “oh was she referring to if it hurt the cost of sides?? Because, yes, I brought my little children here and did not even order for myself. On top of that I was just asking for the future reference so I could budget for my kids treat.”

Nobody apologized and actually replied with “listen lady I don’t eat here, I don’t know the prices, I just work here” I literally cried once I sat at the table with my kids. I have always appreciated and loved that McAllister made kids meals accessible and never expected to be mocked. I hope this is taken seriously, because nobody deserves to be ridiculed. My family has been through a lot, and this was just the cherry on top and I literally cried once at the table.

The food was fine, and didn’t take long. If you’re still reading this and care, thank you. Have a great day.

Went in today for a sandwich and it was quite tasty. The side salad was equally as delicious. McAlister's is infinitely better than Panera bread. Better prices, better food, better people.

Placed a to go order for their pecanberry salad. We live 25mins from the restaurant, so my husband got it on his way home from work. I opened it when he got home and this is what I got. Barely any lettuce. Their to go salads are getting worse and worse. So skimpy compared to when you eat inside the restaurant. Very disappointing!!!!

I ordered online 7/28/2024 my sandwich was inedible, burned to crisp. I got in touch with the manager and they said they would send me a replacement. A few days later I received a card for 2 free meals (drink dessert and entree. Went in today 8/10, and Scott was manager on duty and he went above and beyond. The food was so delicious and service was excellent.

Picked up togo salads tonight for dinner. I love the savannah chopped salad with ranch and my partner gets the pecan berry. Both have lots of toppings, thin sliced chicken, and the dressings are flavorful. The service here is always friendly and the food is typically ready fairly quickly.

Cool place. We come all the way from South Dallas for the McAllister Club and the broccoli and cheddar soup. Cool peoples and not pricey at all. Would reccomend and often do!
