This place used to be so good many years ago. Went a week ago, the service was horrible and the "world's best burgers" we're far from it. It was horrible, the presentation, the taste of the food and the quality and quantity. I ordered the patty melt on rye, idk if the bread or the meat was old but it was completely disgusting. It was actually more like a soggy grilled cheese it had pieces small pieces of funky tasting beef in it and the ends of the bread were an inch empty of any food at all. I paid 24$ for 2 burgers 1 order of 6 onion rings and 2 small which they call medium drinks and it was horrible. The owner needs to hire a better cook and staff and buy better quality of beef, in no way is this even close to the world's best burgers, more like worlds worst burgers. We didn't get any ketchup when we asked we were told it was on the bar in the back and there was nothing but tobasco sauce, the cashier was smoking her vape pen the entire time inside the building around food and customers as she texted the entire time, when we asked her for dipping sauce which she forgot to give with our order, she ignored us and finally gave us some but seemed we inconvenienced her. This is sad used to be a bad a** place to eat. Please whoever owns this place make some changes to everything bc it's horrible all around!!!!! Whataburger all day

This place is a train wreck. May have at one time been a great niche place for a good ole fashioned burger and fries but tonight was an unmitigated mess.From attitude at the register about changing a $10 bill so I had cash for the gratuity to servers playing footsie in a booth next to the front door.The bathroom was non-functional sink (water all over the floor and paper towels hanging out of the broken drain pipe) Nobody is washing in the mens room!Now the food. The burgers were grilled to death and not juicy or even flavorful. The bun was grilled and ok but the burgers weren’t as good as a chain burger joints $1 menu item. Really just totally disappointing. Got a mushroom & Swiss burger with grilled onions & a burger with grilled onions and barbecue sauce. Tried for a redemptive order of jalapeño poppers but again nothing special. They were hot and certainly better than the burgers but overall no more than meh! We saw some onion rings delivered to a table that looked pretty good but we weren’t in the mood for those.Finally, the place outside of interior being very dated and mostly torn seating, it did not feel clean or even appropriately cared for.Can not think of any reason to come back. Very disappointed. Was looking forward to trying this place for several months.*** NOT RECOMMENDED ***

1st time eating here today and it was fantastic. Took the wife on a quick lunch date around 11:30am. Wasn't too busy, staff was friendly and helpful making recommendations. Wife got a mushroom burger and I got the patty melt, side of fries and some fried green beans to share. Food was great, atmosphere was welcoming and I enjoyed looking around at the many signs and handwritten quotes. Definitely coming back.
They made me the BEST grilled PB&J sandwich today. Special request... and got it out fast. Buttered Texas toast, grilled to perfection with savory peanut butter and sweet grape jelly. Out of this world! Their burgers are delicious too... but that grilled PB&J, y'all! I'd have posted a pic, but it's all gone ?

The burgers are fantastic! I will say I wasn't too impressed with the fries, the first round I got were stone cold, the second round came out concerningly fast. They seem to be hand cut, blanched and then finished off on a flash fry, but I would happily wait a minute or two more for fries with crispier texture. All that being said, the burger was flavorful enough to outweigh any of the rest of the complaints and garner a 5 star.

Best burger I've had in a really long time. I live in Wylie, I eat meteor burger periodically, and it's always great. But today it was so stinking good I felt like I absolutely had to leave a review.Forgive the not great pictures, I actually got it through DoorDash and was sitting on the couch nomming. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger, add grilled onions, lettuce and tomato, a side of cheese fries, and a chocolate covered cherry shake.Meteor's cheese fries are always the best cheese fries. They are handcut fries that I can only assume are double fried, and they are generous with the cheese. That burger though. Juicy and greasy in the perfect way, just absolutely amazing. I hadn't had the shake before, and that was also a pleasant surprise. Very tasty.

Patty melt, french fries & onion rings all cold...and they were not busy at all when we got there and ordered, or when served. Patty Melt hamburger patty was no thicker than the two thin slices of cheese put together. Asked for no onions, had a few strays. Blinds are so filthy it was hard to sit and eat beside them. Had been there few years ago & thought it was very good back then. Sure not today. Very disappointing!

The service was absolutely horrible. The young lady working the front has absolutely no customer service. I had a coupon she said the system was working to accept the coupon. The system froze she turned to another employee and said I am going to call Andrew and tell him I F'n quit. She charged me for two drinks and when I told her she was even nastier. It was so hot in there. The staff was playing around and my burger was raw.
