I come to Rice Garden with my grandma since it’s her favorite spot. The food is always fresh and seems to be cooked to order, and the restaurant itself is pretty clean and modern for dining in. However, during my last visit, I had a concerning experience. After finishing my meal, I went to use the restroom. The cook walked out right before me, and when I went in, I noticed there was no soap available at the sink. My first thought was: how is anyone washing their hands properly, especially if the cook just left? I immediately went to the front to let them know, and the staff had to go refill the soap dispenser on the spot. While I can’t say for sure whether the cook washed his hands elsewhere, this situation didn’t sit well with me. Because when I went to go, tell them about refilling the soap, the cook was actively preparing someone’s plate. it’s a basic health and hygiene issue that shouldn’t be overlooked, especially in a restaurant. So gross !!

Rice Garden in Wylie is our go-to restaurant! Food is cooked right when you order, it's correct and delicious! We have tried many different dishes, but keep going back to Singapore noodles as a favorite. It is also so good to deal with Sunny (gets your order exact and very personable).

Came in for a quick dine-in with my family. The place was empty for dine in but busy w to go orders which I understood, but the front staff were dismissive and rude. After ordering, I was told my fruit tea drink would take 10 minutes since they had alot of to go orders. I agreed and continued to place my order along with our meals. It ended up being over 30 minutes with no follow-up, even after I asked twice. My side of fried rice never came aswell, and by the time we were done eating, we still had no drinks. When my dad asked again, the cashier replied, “I told her it’s gonna take awhile we’re busy.” Overall, poor service and zero urgency. This was my goto spot for take outs so it’s so disappointing.

Ordered Moo Shu Chicken and because I happened to order fried rice with it, they didn’t send the pancakes or plum sauce. Called the restaurant and they said you can’t have both pancakes AND fried rice. It’s either/or. Nowhere on the app did it explain this, and this is the ONLY place that has such a ridiculous policy.

Not sure if inflation hit them, but their quantity of food has gone down and their prices are up. They’re forgetting, this is supposed to be Chinese “take out” spot not high end dining. I don’t mind the price if the container was full. Ordered beef and broccoli and there was more liquid in there than brocolli and beef.

This place is very clean and with a really nice atmosphere. The food did not take long to be brought to the table. Every single dish was so delicious. Portions were generous. We tried 3 different slushies and all tasted amazing. The service was excellent. I will be back!!!
