Football Field Sports Bar and Grill

I moved back to the area a little of a year ago and this place was open way back when. In December my son was in town for the holidays and we decided to come here and play pool, have some snacks, and drinks. Overall it was a pleasant experience although getting drinks we wanted was a challenge.
My son was back in town and this past Saturday we decided to do a repeat.
What a disappointment and disaster! They have pulled out all but two (2) pool tables and their selections of on tap beers or liquor was almost nonexistent.
It became amusing to try to find something that actually hand to make drinks and after a couple of games of pool we gave up and ventured down the road to the Bearded Monkey.
Not sure what they were thinking but on a Saturday night, by the time we left where may have been 8 people there. Opposed to the Bearded Monkey that was packed and very lively.

Another great experience today. It’s back under the original name of Chips and Salsa. My wife and I have been here many times in the past. The food is good and love that I have other options than Frankie’s. They are offering 2 free margaritas at until they get a new license. Great out to Chips and Salsa and help support our local businesses.

I usually never leave reviews BUT I will make an exception with this place. Food was awful (they told me after spending $100+ the cook was new lol) service was a joke… Our glasses never got refilled once… if you’re looking for borderline disgusting food, instant depression and laughable service - This is your go-to place! How is the place keeping the lights on!!! Worst restaurant experience in 10 years easily. Perfect place for losers to hang out!

Music really sucks. Makes me depressed. Been here a few times and it’s the same every time. Staff is great. But music makes me not want to be here.

Great spot with better food than you would expect at first glance. Friendly staff as well.

I come here almost every week. The food is good, cannot recommend the burger enough. I love the atmosphere! Thank you to Oliver and his staff for making this my favorite spot.

Don’t let the Americanized name fool you… it should be called Bar de Deportes de Campo de Fútbol. This is 100% a tejano bar. Friends were playing the AMI jukebox, and suddenly every song was skipped for tejano music. It didn’t matter if you play priority or not, they will take your money and you’ll never hear your music. Beware.

Terrible. Rice was cold and hard, waited a WHILE for food. Said they were waiting on my tortillas for the fajitas. Get home and it was flour when I ordered corn tortillas. Never again. Bar area was nice though and seemed to be catered to in that aspect. If your looking to have a meal this may not be the best choice.
