Snagged the chicken sandwich with fries. Oh my word, the food was delicious. I almost ate all the fries before even trying the sandwich because they were so addictive. The sandwich was crispy and had a great tang with the coleslaw and pickles. Excellent lunch!

I stopped by today for lunch and grabbed a fish sandwich and dirty rice to go. The fillet was huge and hanging over the sides of the bun. I broke a piece off and was thinking it was slightly over salted. But when I bit into the sandwich, the flavor of the fish cut thru the slaw and sauce. It was wonderful. It's been so long since I've had a really good fried fish sandwich like that. The rice was really good, too. Fluffy and full of flavor. Great little place to grab something different.

I was excited about the food especially with the name “The South”. Let’s just say it didn’t match my expectations. The chicken & fried catfish was not good. Chicken just tasted like grease as well as a lil burnt. The fish tasted like grease also. The bread pudding was not good, crispy toast all the way through.The worst bread pudding I have ever had.I wish I would have taking pictures but I threw it away after I tasted it ,just wasn’t good ! But I will say whoever fixed Red Beans & Rice …delish! Would I go back…No! Wasn’t of my liking.

Got The Dirty South. Amazing!!! Restaurants around the country have gone up in prices but down in portions and quality, but not the South. Food is amazing. It’s one of the few restaurants where my wife and I are happy with the taste, price and portions. It’s worth it.

The food here is Amazing. If you haven’t found this little hidden gem on Country club next to 7-Eleven you’re missing out. Everything we ordered was five out of five stars!!! Staff was awesome too!!! If you want the Louisiana experience, they got it down.

This was my first time here. It was highly recommended by my son. I am from Louisiana, so I think I know GREAT Louisiana cuisine. I had the shrimp po-boy, YUMMY with the freshest bread ever! I also got the jambalaya to take home and it was fantastic. The owner warned me it had a little heat to it. He was right, but not too much for me. I recommend this restaurant for true Louisiana cajun cooking! I will be going back!

Authentic Louisiana! Meat pies and crawfish pies just like the ones you get when you pass through Natchitoches. Their fish sandwich is delish! The dirty rice is AMAZING (this isn't something I'd consider ordering at a restaurant normally but do yourself a favor and get it!). The cornbread! I mean just everything we have had is good. The owners are from Louisiana so the food is authentic and they are the nicest people. Happy hour specials too!

8/30/24: Neighbor and I stopped by for lunch. This was our first visit. It was pretty busy and we sat at the bar. This a small location, there are several tables, and the bar sits five. We sat at the bar. Porter took our order, and he was very friendly. He also was tending to the bar, and running the food out from the kitchen. The food took about 25 minutes to come out, and it was nice and hot. My neighbor had the shrimp platter, which had about six two bite shrimp, a couple of tiny hushpuppies and coleslaw. I had the chicken sandwich with fries. Looking at the menu, the 16" Po'Boys seemed pretty expensive. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and there are TV's throughout. Parking is plentiful, and it's easy access from the street.
