Best freakin gluten free sourdough bread!! Literally I have missed normal tasting and feeling bread! Bought a loaf and I am stoked!! I also loved my cinnamon roll, mint brownies and my husband (who isn’t GF but doesn’t to support my hashimotos) loved his fruit tart!! I’ll definitely be back!!

These gluten-free cinnamon rolls were horrible. We picked them up this morning, and they were prepackaged in a plastic container. When I go to a bakery, I expect fresh donuts. These were stale, not fresh at all—at least two to three days old—and not worth the price. I won’t be returning to buy donuts from this place.

My new favorite bakery in the northern utah area Prices are amazing, especially compared to other bakeries around and the workers are ALWAYS so happy and friendly which is getting more rare lately but makes me want to go back to a place so much. Everything I've tried here is so good, I love the variety and the overall feel and atmosphere in here. Highly recommend this place whether you're wanting a small sweet treat or sit down for lunch or just picking up a loaf of bread to go with dinner.

YOU GUYS THE GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS ARE SO GOOD 😭😭😭 I got like a Boston cream cupcake out of their gluten free CASE! (Yes an entire dedicated gluten free case) and it was phenomenal, so sweet and moist and a huge step up from the Bavarian cream I scraped out of a chocolate cream donut this morning!
They have a ton of take home options too, gluten free home baked sandwich bread, cinnamon chip bread, dinner rolls, breadsticks, sourdough, muffin tops, cookies, brownies AND gluten free take home meals like lasagna, mac n cheese and soups!
I live in boise but we visit family up here a lot and will definitely be making this an essential stop!! My mom has celiac too and I feel good about bringing her because they have a dedicated gluten free kitchen! You GOTTA try it!! You deserve it 😉

I have gone here 5 times and only gotten the food I wanted once. Two times, when I showed up they informed me the chef wasn't there so I could only buy pre-made items. Another time I called to make sure the chef was there and that they would still be serving breakfast when I got there. They said yes to both, but when I showed up, they were not serving breakfast. I got a dessert crepe instead, and when it arrived, it was missing the filling. Another time I ordered, paid, waited 10 minutes, and then they came out to tell me they didn't have the main ingredient so I needed to choose a substitute. The one time I did get what I ordered, it was absolutely delicious. But the overall experience was so frustrating I won't be going back.
(Oh, also, the first time I went and the chef was there, their screen with the menu was broken and they didn't have any physical menus. The cashier just tried to recite the menu from memory. It was still broken the next time I went too.)

Avenue Bakery gets repeat visits from me. I have not had a single bad experience or item. I’ve had the Russian Twist, Lemon Tart, Turkey Panini, Croissants, and today I tried the Samoa Donut and the Signature Burger. Service is always friendly and quick and the quality of the baked items is consistently the best of the best in Utah. Keep it up! 🫶

The food tastes amazing. But the croissant chicken salad sandwich has VERY LITTLE actual chicken salad on it. And this is coming from a woman who doesn't really like lots of meat. For an $11 sandwich I would expect to have more chicken salad than lettuce. Very disappointing honestly. If they are trying to be cheap and save $ id rather pay an extra dollar and actually have some chicken salad on the chicken salad sandwich 🤷🏼♀️. My husband's burger was huge and amazing and he loved it. But this is the 2nd time we've gone and both times hardly any chicken salad on the sandwich.
