the food was fine, nothing particularly special. disappointed that my sandwich was served with a bag of lays chips instead of fries. but i couldn’t even appreciate the food if it was good because the place is DISGUSTING. i don’t think someone has wiped the tables in days, the container where the silverware goes is absolutely horrid and the top of the trash made me want to throw up my just-eaten lunch. will not be going back because of how gross it is. i’d like to call the health department for a surprise inspection.
I have always loved this place, They are one of only a few bakers that can make good Gluten Free Desserts in UT
To be clear, the location is great and the staff are great. I’m sure there’s a lot of great goodies that we didn’t get a chance to try. However, the one thing we did try, the rice pudding, was atrocious. It’s not pudding. It’s just like cooked dry rice with a layer of whipped cream and cinnamon on top. Definitely not worth the price, but if a toddler offered it to me, I’d accept it and secretly throw it out, promising myself to teach them how to make actual rice pudding next time.
Good food but they've always had a problem with bad service. My daughter is in town and worked hard to get her kids to bed before 8pm so we could run to Avenue Bakery for a treat. We got there 10 minutes before closing and the doors were locked! One of the workers walked out while we were standing at the door and the other worker locked the door behind her, completely ignoring us and the other customers that had pulled up behind us.
My family and another family were both at the store 15 minutes prior to closing but the doors were locked and the employees were inside ignoring us. Someone eventually walked out and said that they were closing in 10 minutes but the door was immediately locked behind them and we were not permitted inside.
Ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s birthday heart shaped cake 8 inch double layer white cake with strawberry filling. Even though the colors were a little off, the decorating itself was fine. Look like the picture we gave her, but I felt like I was mostly paying for icing and not so much cake both of the cake layers were cut in half and filled not with layers of strawberry jam or preserves, but again mostly icing mixed with a little bit of strawberry. There was a thin layer of cake, followed by a thick layer of icing, another thin layer of cake and so on and so forth. The cake itself was a bit dry but tasted fine. Overall, the cake was pretty. I was just a bit disappointed that I spent all that money for what I felt was mostly icing with not much cake. The cake would be perfect for somebody that really loved icing, but unfortunately, I’d rather have more cake.
I don’t normally leave reviews, but I got a dozen cupcakes here the other day for my birthday and I was very disappointed. I was so excited that they had carrot cake and red velvet as those are my two favorite flavors of cake. Imagine my disappointment when I bit into them and neither one had cream cheese frosting. I’ve never gotten a red velvet or carrot cake that didn’t have cream cheese frosting. Not only that, but the frosting on all the cupcakes was really bad. I have no idea what it’s made of, but it just didn’t taste good. And the cupcakes all tasted like they had been sitting in the case for several days. Also, the better than anything flavor is supposed to have caramel…that’s what that flavor is. It didn’t, it had a clear ish white liquid that looks like the milk or whatever they use for the tres leche flavor. I paid over $30 for these cupcakes for my birthday and not a single one was good enough to even eat the whole thing. It was really sad.
More than just a great bakery, we ended up ordering their peppered steak, garlic mashed potatoes and pecan grilled chicken! Wow it was so good! Food was excellent and priced pretty inexpensive. $17 for a steak dinner that was amazing, can’t get that at Texas Roadhouse! Definitely a new favorite for us!

I’m currently on a quest for the best chocolate chip cookie in Utah. Today I tried this bakery. They don’t sell them individually, you have to buy a handful. And that might be nice if it was a good cookie.
It was horrid and currently ranking lowest on my list. It tasted like a stale Chips Ahoy cookie, favor was bad, texture was bad.
BUT I told my foodie friend about this dilemma, I told her I can’t trust an entire bakery if they don’t make a chocolate chip cookie correctly. She jumped in, almost brokenhearted to defend this bakery. She has eaten here time and time again and really enjoyed the food. So I’m giving them five stars. But that’s only because I love small businesses, and my friend has vouched for them.
(And she knows her food)
Just don’t get the cookies.

Tiramisu cake had a very bad taste, I never tasted such kind of cake in my life time, I will never go to this place. I will give 0 stars.

Love this place! I wish they had a better place to park but I guess there's not much they can do about that.

The gluten free baked goods were dry and tasteless. The cream inside was nicely flavored but couldn’t compensate for the tasteless exterior. Had to throw them out. Worker was very kind and they looked pretty but the taste and texture wasn’t there for any of the ones we got
