I was afraid the cheese ones might be too plain, but they weren't, they were absolutely perfect. Some of the meat ones reminded me of empanadas. “My first time at this Italian-owned restaurant, & I Am In LOVE!! I got the onion focaccia & pesto lasagna - HEAVEN!!! The onions are soft & sweet & jammy in the soft yet crunchy bread. The pesto is thick & rich & CLEARLY made from scratch with love. The building itself is small, with 7-8 tables inside & 3 tables outside. It’s also VERY popular - I got here around 7:30 & it was PACKED! I was lucky to get an outdoor table under an umbrella! Thankfully it’s the perfect weather for eating al fresco! “Aubergine doesn't have the most manly menu, but they do have the Hot Steak Melt. Tender tri-tip and melted mozzarella with onions and peppers sandwiched between two pieces of flatbread. I think of it as a tri-tip pizza and it hits the spot every time.”

My husband came by Don Joaquin's a few days ago and couldn't stop raving about it so I decided to join him there for lunch today.... let me tell you that I am so glad that I did! The restaurant is spacious, clean and they have some freezers with Popsicles, paletas and ice cream bars and fried doraditos by the ordering station. Menu is simple but sometimes that all you need right? I got the gringa combo, which has 3 tacos (al pastor, chicken and asada) with a drink and my husband got an asada burrito with a side of rice. I also got a slice of strawberry tres leches cake which was stellar! Every single bite was lovely; everything was flavored so well and was fresh! Definitely recommend if you are in the area - you won't be disappointed!”

“I can't review a burger place without eating a burger, which I did not purchase a burger. The grilled ham and cheese for the kiddies was good, a little more brown in some places, but made up for it in the use of butter on the toast.
Fries- average. Chicken strips - too much time in the fryer. Kids liked what they got. I did not. Service was good and we didn't have to wait long after ordering (which was done in the drive thru line by an attendant, not the regular sign.”
