Gandolfo's New York Deli

We won a gift card for this place at the AF steel days and bad to check it out. Awesome vibe here, very authentic bet York deli feel. Meats and cheeses are sliced fresh every day. They prep deli salads from scratch every day. Chocolate mousse cake is baked fresh right in the kitchen! Tried the urban cowboy at marks suggestion and it slapped. Mark was the best!!

I placed an online order and when I went to pick it up, the young man behind the counter picked up my to go container and put it in a bag…then slung it at me sideways. He’s been rude every time I come in and I’m not sure why. I even cheerfully thanked him and went on about my day (turn the other cheek!) but it’s one of those moments I can’t understand.

I love Gandolfo's and I don't get to go often because there is not one near me. I went in today and was disappointed by the condition of the store. The service was good and the staff was friendly. However, the store was very dirty which makes me worry about the safety of the food. The counters in the back needed to be cleaned and sanitized. The cabinets were covered in soda. An employee was sitting on the counter where I'm not sure if food was being prepped there, and the air conditioner was not working. It really made me sad because the cleanliness did not match the customer service. I also waited for service while another employee was doing something on their phone. I drove from Herriman for a sandwhich and am not sure it was really worth the drive.

Very good sandwiches, but the cleanliness of the place was not like gandolfo's I've been to before. The counters, windows and floors needed cleaning. The bathroom was not clean at all and the ring around the toilet and sink and black marks on the door indicated it had not been cleaned properly in days. The entry doors had black abd grease marks all over them on both sides. Even the poor statue of liberty needed to be cleaned, her feet were black. When employees aren't making sandwiches they should be cleaning or restocking, not looking at cell phones. Please do better. Eating in a dirty restaurant is not appetizing at all. I don't like to give bad reviews, but as a food service manager I felt I needed to call this to management attention.

Picked up sandwiches for dinner with my 89-year old mom. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. The young folks who took our order and prepared our food were friendly and fast!
