Waited almost 40 minutes after ordering our food on a Tuesday night at 7pm. Ordered a sandwich and the sides were so tiny I thought it was a joke. 4 cucumber slices & 2 extra dollars for fried zucchini that was literally 3 pieces. Bathroom was also super dirty and gross. Disappointed because the one is Draper is always so great.

It was okay. Restaurant was cold. Food was priced well though.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere—it’s clean, calm, and very welcoming. The staff are kind and provide excellent service. The food is absolutely delicious. My husband and I tried several items, and I was honestly impressed by how good everything was. The eggnog cheesecake is heavenly. I also loved the classic croissant and the brisket scone bowl. Today I tried the egg polenta and I really liked it. It’s hard to find great places to eat in Utah, but Gourmandise is now one of my favorites.

Stopped in for some pastries. They were busy with the drive thru window and completely ignored us at the pastry case until we finally just left.

there was no one at the front desk so I waited for five minutes. Eventually had to flag somebody down and found out that my food has just been sitting there for the last five minutes. Then I got home to find that I got basically the wimpiest serving of asparagus possible.

A friend recommended Gourmandise, so I stopped by on a beautiful morning—and it did not disappoint! The staff was super friendly and took the time to introduce their pastries to me. I tried the raspberry spiral croissant, and it was so good! Flaky, flavorful, and definitely worth coming back for. I was lucky enough to find a parking spot right in front of the store. You can tell it’s a popular spot just by looking at how busy the parking lot gets.

There was an olive pit in my husband's salad; he bit into it and hurt his mouth. We told the server, but she didn't seem to care.

This is unacceptable in a restaurant.

Every visit, every entree we've tried, and every dessert has been just superb. Favorite is the French country stew over garlic mashed potatoes. Despite the increase in cost of eating out, this food is actually worth the price. A great value in a delightfully decorated space.

I started going to Gourmandise in downtown location several years ago. A friend of a friend’s brother is a pastry chef there. I loved going there. It’s always been a treat.
I moved to American Fork a few years ago and was glad to learn that there’s going to be a Gourmandise.
I love dessert at Gourmandise. I love French bakery in general because it’s not overly sweet. This location seems not as good as downtown. There is a guy server who is always nice to us. The front staff is okay. We don’t feel very welcoming. One time, I had a bad fruit tart (the cream was sour. It was old). I told the front staff about it. She said oh it could just be a bad batch. What a response. Don’t know whether to laugh or upset. This was a year ago so I don’t go there very often anymore. The food to be honest is a hit or miss. Salmon Encroute is my favorite. French onion soup is yummy. The rest of the food I tried was okay. The dessert is always good. Except for yesterday (November 18, 2025) , I found hardly any filings in the eclairs. It was disappointing. I know staffing must be hard. I would go back there from time to time for dessert just because there are no other options in American Fork (Avenue Bakery is a lot worst in my opinion, both the dessert and customer service).

In reading the menu online before my visit, I anticipated a great meal and there were several menu items that appealed to me. I decided to order the Tri-tip Steak sandwich and msn was I disappointed. First, the sandwich was sitting in Gorgonzola cream sauce so you couldn’t pick it up, you had to cut it with a knife and fork but it was VERY hard to cut. Second, it was mostly bread and very little steak. It didn’t have a ton of flavor. Maybe if the red onions had been pickled instead of raw that would have helped.
I was also very disappointed by the sides. The housemade chips were overdone and not seasoned at all. The kale apple slaw did not have any apples. It was just kale with some sort of dressing that didn’t have much flavor.
On the upside, the service was great. We picked a pastry to take home and it was delicious! All the pasties looked amazing.
Will I come back? Probably not for a meal but possibly for a pastry.
