I ordered a quesadilla with extra meat and cheese. They put cheese and meat in cups and gave it to me like I am supposed to assemble the quesadilla. Really weird experience, and they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for it to be fixed.

I saw a review saying they were unhappy with the amount of meat in the order, this is spot on. Very stingy and rude staff. Specifically the two young Latin girls. They were rolling their eyes when we asked for a little more meat (as they added two shreds of sweet pork). I even said I will pay extra and they barely added any. When leaving the store I saw them look back and laugh while clearly looking at me and my sister. I speak Spanish and could hear them bad mouthing! I go to costa vida at least twice a week and will NEVER return to this location and hope they hire more professional and kind employees in the future! The photo I provided is what I paid extra for after requesting extra meat.

The first time we visited this Costa Vida location was 3 years ago. My mother has a gluten allergy and asks workers to change their gloves to avoid cross contamination. The first employee changed his gloves but the rest didn’t and so my mother got sick. Yesterday we were in Bountiful again and although we had a bad experience we knew it had been a while so we gave it another shot. I ordered online because I was in a rush. I got to the restaurant 10 minutes early for the online order so I waited, there was no problem with that. There was only 3 people in line when I arrived. After the 10 minutes was over and I stilled hadn’t gotten the food 4 more people came in and walked out before me. At this point I realized it would have just been faster to wait in line like everyone else instead of the online order. As I said before my mother has a gluten allergy and I had called ahead of this online order and asked them to change their gloves. I watched them as they didn’t change their gloves. I didn’t give the food to my mother because I knew she would get sick. From these 2 experiences that were spaced 3 years apart we will no longer go to this Costa Vida. At this location it seems to be a problem with the employees the management here hires. Both times the employees haven’t been capable to give decent service. Some of our personal favorite locations of Costa Vida that we have never had a problem with and still go to are in Layton and West Kaysville.

This was my first experience at this particular location, so I must say it's not typical of other locations. I ordered a vegetarian salad without a tortilla, due to a gluten sensitivity. The young women who assembled it were so stingy with everything except for lettuce, that my salad lacked it's usual deliciousness. I tried to get them to add more toppings, and they did, but only minuscule portions. Basically, my meal was a pile of lettuce. Waste of money. I won't return to this location.

I haven't been to costa vida in long time. My last visit reminded why. First and most importantly tortillas are not cooked by letting them sit on the rotating grill for 10 seconds each side. They are raw and chewy. Cook your tortillas until golden brown and cook them all the way through! Second the portion sizes are severely lacking and when asked if I could get more beans.. More beans mind you. I was told that is a regular serving and more would cost extra. Serving sizes keep getting smaller while the price increases. I understand that extra chicken would cost extra but pinto beans?. Either way service and taste of the food is sub par. The chicken as usual is very bland and dry.
