Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

I am from out of state and decided to try Cafe Rio for the first time. I ordered a barbacoa burrito and it was absolutely delicious. I was really surprised how fresh and flavorful everything was. This is way better than competitor chains. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I would like to say I would love to comeback and visit but that’s not the case. My husband and I ordered a chicken quesadilla and 2 tacos, for the tacos we had ordered chicken and fire grilled steak but we got shredded chicken and beef, we asked the employee to add lettuce and pico just on one taco and it was added on both and she seemed bothered when we told her it was for one taco only, I understand it’s a very fast paced restaurant but it’s not an excuse for the employees to make the customers feel like a burden. The only reason I would comeback is because of the older lady working the register on 6/19/25 at around noon she was AMAZING and very informative. Based on my personal experience I can’t say I recommend this location, at least not for dine-in I’ve had amazing experiences at others but definitely not here.

Surprised by the great customer service! This location is rocking it.

Cage Rio is an amazing restaurant, but this location isn’t as good. Every time we pass through they are out of steak, and it’s usually around 6pm. They won’t cook more steak after 6pm. It’s really strange and mismanaged.

Food definitely lacks flavor and taste. Sloppy made and no quality what so ever. I user to love this place. It has gone down hill. The workers don't seem to care and the place is always dirty. Will not be returning anytime soon.

The staff that have helped us at the Cedar City Cafe Rio are friendly, fast, efficient: Amber, Sydney G., Amanda, Troy, Maria, and Heidi. We come often for the great food and great service!

What a disappointment we have had with this CAFÉ RIO.
1. Very abusive staff do not know how to serve
2. There were 2 hours left before closing and they didn't have roast beef and they responded that they were going to close.
3. When I take my plate of tacos to eat I realize that what I had was lettuce.
We have always liked to eat at Café Rio and I have had the pleasure of visiting many throughout the state and I had a very bad impression of it, plus the twelve staff, which is 4 ounces of roast beef, is what each portion of tacos contains.

The service is super bad, the food they serve us is very little, I hope they improve the service

Very bad attention from whoever served us and very very little meat in the tacos. I ordered roast beef and there wasn't any, it was 8 pm and they closed at 10 pm and they didn't want to grill anymore because they were going to close. Too much bad attention

Last 4 times I’ve come here they do not have steak, also was not super impressed that they have removed salmon from meat options.

Awful customer service. They said they were out of grilled chicken and that is all I can have with my gluten allergy. She argued that other things were fine and safe. Then proceeded to be told by her coworker that they did have grilled chicken. She skimped on all of the meat from all of our meals. Super disappointing. There were no clean forks. Save yourself the trouble and go to Costa Vida.
