I'm not from Ephraim, but was in town for a family wedding reception. I went to The Malt Shop with my daughter, her husband, and their kids. The food was good, the atmosphere was fun, and they were busy on a Saturday. The atmosphere was that of a 1950s diner. They have a fairly broad menu for food, and the shakes were really good too.

This was an accidental find. So glad we stopped. Wow! What great food. The staff were so friendly and treated us like they genuinely cared. Plus they had gluten free buns. The decorations were like being in a museum.

This place has really gone down hill. The food used to be great but now they can't even get an order right. Than when they remake the burger you get half a slice of cheese a 1 piece of bacon hanging of the bun. With a side of burnt fries.
Your better off eating at wendys or mcdonalds and saving a few bucks.

The biggest downside here is it's so popular! Because of that, service is a little slower. However, employees are very friendly, happy to help you, food is Good, shakes are delicious.

Sad about my experience here. Ordered a shake through the drive through. Just one shake and waited at the window for 20+ minutes, with no shake in sight. Decided to just leave because our kid was being fussy and didn’t seem worth waiting however it would take for our shake to be made. We noticed a lot of the workers just leaning against counters and not being productive. Pretty crazy to pay quite a bit of money for a shake, not get one and see a lot of the workers not working and eating their own ice cream.
