If I could give Javier’s 10 stars I would. My family has been coming here for years and love the food and service. Ellie and her husband are amazing and always provides the.best service.

Great food. Quick service. This is one of our favorite local Mexican food restaurants. Usually we have just our family with us but they also were able to handle a reasonable wedding party. Turns out this is also a favorite for our daughter in law. Always very friendly service. The salsa bar is also a favorite!
Kid-friendliness: Great family atmosphere.

Fantastic meal but some plates are a better value then others. Paying 1.99 extea for the Chile Verde gets almost as much Chile Verde as the Chile Verde plate so that's worth it. 1 corn tortilla given with the Chile Verde plate which was already extremely lackluster compared to the Enchilada plate and then they charged an extra dollar for a 2nd tortilla which seemed silly. The pricing just seemed off at that place. The chips and salsa was great but they had to refill it for us 5 times because the kept bringing us these tiny handfuls of chips (there was 4 of us). ? The booth seat was so old I could tell half of it needed to be replaced or repaired. The restaurant interior seems old, but doesn't give that nostalgia of old buildings it just seems old and slightly run-down looking but out of place. Menu seemed like it had too many options, mostly rearrangements or variations of the same sort of stuff. My advice: fine tune/trim the menu a bit to your best plates, do what you can with the atmosphere. Don't nickel & dime on tortillas when the plate is already costing over 15. I suspect the business is struggling. Having said all that, food was good enough that I would eat there again though. The pork/meats etc... very good. Better then just about every Mexican place around the area.?

Favorite Mexican restaurant since I was a kid in the 90s, and Mexican food is my favorite, so basically it's the best of the best :

Good service but the only food we liked was the salsa.
I ordered the Carne asada dinner salad. I was not impressed. Server was very nice and service was prompt.

We love going to Javier’s to eat and we usually dine in. This time we ordered to go and asked for a side of pico. They told my husband that it would be $5. He thought that it was crazy but if it is a lot of pico then it was fine. He got to the car and looked in the bag and it was a small cup of pico. He went back in and talked to the manager to get his money back and they wouldn’t do it. It’s just crazy the amount of money they charged for a tiny side of pico, and the way the treated my husband.

The food was good, but the service was better. It was a nice place to go once. I don’t have any intention of returning. There’s better food options.

Within two minutes of entering we were seated and given chips, salsa, and water. The servers were the most attentive servers that we've had in a long time. We also loved the salsa bar and fried ice cream.

This place can't even pass for authentic Mexican – even Tex-Mex laughs at your attempt. The food feels like it's designed for the city's lowest common denominator. Canned beans? Seriously? And those tortillas taste like they've been sitting around since last year. The sauce is so watered down, it's practically a joke. Save your money and your taste buds – steer clear of this sorry excuse for a restaurant.
