Absolutely pathetic you wake in one minute past breakfast and all of a sudden you have no batter you have no syrup just a bunch of lazy people

They really need to serve breakfast longer than 10:30 and its a hard stop for serving breakfast. For being one of the only sit down places its sad to never be able to eat breakfast here due to the stupid breakfast hours.

Went there before Pickleville. Staff seemed stressed out and a little disoriented. Didn't really effect our service but watching the. walking around like they lost their kid was almost stressful.
Prices were surprisingly fair. 2 meals and an app was around $35.
The food itself wasn't standout but wasn't bad either.
The glass see through panels between booths was a little uncomfortable at first but after we got our entree's we didn't seem to notice.
For a touristy area in off season it was about what we expected but it would be nice to go to bear lake and get a decent dinner.

Whether it’s peak summer season or the quiet off-season, The Bear Trapper Restaurant in Bear Lake never disappoints. It doesn’t try to be more than it is, and that’s exactly what makes it wonderful.

The staff, from the hostess to the servers, were friendly, professional, and quick to bring both drinks and food. The atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming, the kind of place you can enjoy with family or friends after a day by the lake.

The location couldn’t be more convenient, right in the heart of Garden City and close to everything going on. There’s plenty of parking and clear signage, so it’s easy to find even if you’re new to the area.

As for the food, the burger is a must-try, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the mozzarella sticks were fantastic, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside.

Overall, The Bear Trapper is a solid choice year-round and one of the best local spots in Bear Lake. Highly recommend stopping in!

Ordered steak salmon combo. It was very tasty and well presented. We paid the same price at a different place and the food wasn't nearly as good.

Let's get this straight; If you ever ate at McDonalds, you've had better dessert, burgers, and fries than at Bear Trappers. Their burgers give you warm taco farts that feel like tropical breezes. True, that's a bad joke, but bad burgers get bad jokes. Good thing these guys have next to no competition in town, or their business would be down.

Great little place that stays open year round! Glad to have this restaurant stay open off season, as almost all other eateries are closed outside of high season in Garden City. The service started out slow, but it appeared due to few staff. Once we got seated, service improved. Hannah was very knowledgeable of the menu.

We all enjoyed our food. The complimentary rolls with homemade raspberry jam were excellent (as my family tells me, as I’m gluten free). You only get one tho - no free bread refill! I personally like that they offer gluten free bread for sandwiches (and for toast if you come during breakfast). My fam loved the raspberry milkshake! We would definitely recommend this place! Very cozy, country feel.

Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free bread (though it’s not listed on the menu).

Kid-friendliness: Yes it’s kid friendly

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it’s wheelchair accessible

This is our family's favorite place at Bear Lake. Great food! Great price! Cheaper to eat here than at Zips.

We had breakfast and it was delicious and very affordable. Staff was very kind and fast even though it was busy and only three people trying to sit, clean tables, take payments. And wait on people.
Will eat there again.
