Was looking forward to enjoying a shake on our deck and watch the sunset. Purchased the shake for a little over eight dollars including sales tax. Picked up the shake it looked good and it did taste good for the first third to quarter of the shake upon which it turned into a vanilla shake missing raspberries in a raspberry shake. What was a 5 Star situation has quickly gone downhill. I believe my ticket number was 830.

Dirty and gross. 30 min for burnt burgers and missing half our order had to wait another 15 min. After asking they don’t carry mayo. Trash cans overflowing. Even for a slow Sunday afternoon tables are all covered in stuff.

Service here was absolute garbage. Our order of 4 shakes took 45 minutes. I think they could have milked a cow and hand-churned it faster. But we were better off than some people who waited more than an hour. It was not busy, it was not crowded. It was just really really bad service. Disappointed and this will be my last visit.

I’ve been visiting Bear Lake and dining in garden city for the last 30 years. I used to love this place, but since the change from “Jakes” the experience and food has dramatically decreased in quality. The food was overpriced and the burgers were lacking in flavor and sauce. The portion of fries was large, but were poorly cooked and under-salted. They charge for a tiny coffee creamer sized fry sauce, which should be a crime. The only upside was the raspberry shake, which was on-par with other shakes in the area.

I visited here with a group of ~20 people and all felt disappointed and expressed a similar opinion as what I’ve detailed above.

If you’re considering dining here, do yourself a favor and visit the burger barn across the street, which has better food at a cheaper price.

I ordered just a shake then waited for 25 minutes for that one raspberry shake. People who got their food before me all had to ask them to fix something that was wrong with the order (no cheese, no pickles, we ordered fries too, where's the bacon... etc.) I was number 621 several people with numbers after that (622, 624, 625) got their orders before me, including multiple raspberry shakes, other shakes, and food. I finally asked politely when my order was coming and they still didn't get it to me until I asked a second time.
Then when I finally got the shake (which was $8 btw) it was yummy, yes, but not particularly of note. Definitely overpriced. And not fresh local raspberries. It was just frozen raspberries mixed with vanilla ice cream. It was just not worth it in the end.

I waited an hour and a half for 3 shakes, I’m glad we didn’t order food because otherwise we would’ve waited 30 minutes more. The whole place was a mess, no napkins, the trash was piled so high some plastic containers were on the floor. No seating available anywhere, some of the merch on sale was broken. Customers were having to help the staff restock since they couldn’t come to do it themselves. Definitely way understaffed. The raspberry shake wasn’t half bad but definitely not worth the wait or the price (7.99). Awful experience, don’t ever come here. If you want a shake go literally anywhere else. If you want food be prepared to wait 2 hours, have no seats, and pay an arm and a leg.

Took an hour and a half to get 2 shakes

Awful we waited over an hour and a half for a mediocre pulled pork sandwich which we never got. Ended up handing the ticket to someone else and walking out. Staff was rude to boot. I'd rather eat at a gas station than ever return. If I could I'd leave zero stars.

Sad day, and I know other businesses were closed but 45 minute wait for a shake is just a bit ridiculous. I will surely go somewhere else when I'm in town next time.

A covered area for eating. All trash cans overflowing and table not serviced/cleaned. Second time visiting and each time have waited >1hr between ordering and food. Burgers and tenders are pretty average. Shakes are great.

The worst place to eat in Bear Lake, we've tried almost every restaurant here, ordered burgers and waited for over an hour, an hour, unbelievable, not to mention the dirty tables and overflowing trash cans.
