It's a nice place with a gourmet menu and attentive service, along with a nice selection of wine.

My wife and I have had the opportunity to eat here many times over the last few years. Francks is incredible. The food is amazing. The combination of flavor, the presentation, the unique approach to the dishes, all of it is top shelf. Get the soup!

An elderly woman from a table behind ours, turned to our table and screamed at the top of her lungs toward our table, completely unprovoked.
Afterwards, she turned around like nothing happened.
This being my first visit,
Is this typical?
Is She a regular?
Surprised by the lack of
acknowledgment (by the staff)of the situation.
Misbehaved regulars and accommodating staff, perhaps?
Not the atmosphere I’d expect.

This was an off menu wine pairing dinner. Food was very tasty but two of the four courses were over-salted.

Had the most expensive and underwhelming experience at Francks. We went on Nov 1, and I don’t judge for Halloween decorations still being up (mine at home were too), but the Halloween music being piped through was super distracting and felt incongruous with the setting. Felt like I was inside a Spirit Halloween store.

We did the 6 course tasting menu and the food was mostly yummy - what was a huge bummer was the service that accompanied the courses. Some dishes were dropped off by the hostess who didn’t explain what course or what we were eating. Sort of felt like we were an afterthought.

For the price of the meal, I wish the service and ambiance reflected that experience.

We go back for the meatloaf and fried chicken, but everything else we've tried has been excellent. Blueberry sauce on "meatloaf" (it's not ground beef, friends) is above and beyond. We tried the fondue this time and wanted to dip everything on the table in that cheese. I like the cozy atmosphere, and the waitstaff has always been attentive and helpful.

We had a good dining experience here. First, we started with the Preserved Heirloom Tomato Danish. A light, tasty appetizer with bold flavor. Next, we dined on the Artisanal Romaine Salad. Probably my favorite course. It is a heart of romaine lettuce moored to the plate and carved out like a canoe. Filled with pastrami, brioche, pickled onion, and a mild horseradish sauce. Then, we diverged and sampled the Walu fish and Wagyu beef. If you are seeking escape from the rote fare common to Utah, Franck's is your place. Both dishes were unique and accompanied with multiple unfamiliar flavors and textures. If you're OK sampling new foods that taste and feel differently from what you're accustomed to, I'd highly recommend it. The atmosphere is just as eclectic. Nestled in the old growth woods near the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, this cozy restaurant is surrounded by gardens, statues, and yurt-like outdoor dining pods for the adventurous who want a more private dinner. The warm Christmas decorations topped it off. The whole experience lasted about 90 minutes which is a little more than we prefer, but our server compensated by arranging a complimentary slice of what appeared to be a creamy, chocolate truffle pie because we mentioned our anniversary celebration. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Franck's is our favorite restaurant to spend our time and money. We love the Thursday burger specials, and the creative, yet simple, cocktails are always enjoyable. The location is great year round, the patio in the fall is magical, and the valet parking staff are so friendly to brighten your arrival and departure. But our favorite aspect is the overall quality of the food and service. We feel right at home at Franck's every time we arrive. Utah has lots of great food spots... Franck's is definitely in the top tier.

Came for a anniversary celebration, the service was happy to celebrate with us and was very attentive. The fondue was rich and fun to do, the wagyu was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, the 'kinda hot fried chicken' was the perfect dish with a delicious side. Atmosphere was relaxed and romantic.

Came to the first “feasting Friday” night. OMG. The best food I have EVER tasted. The atmosphere was amazing, service wonderful. Went to table x a few weeks ago and it was good- but portion sizes were small, so much we got a burger after. Franks feasting Friday left us STUFFED- portion sizes were very generous.

Love Franks, I hope they continue the feasting Friday menus, sad I will have to wait another month for the menu to change!
