Mint Tapas and Sushi 2 (Cottonwood Heights)

We had 10 items on the tasting menu. You first notice the quality of each menu item. The service includes descriptions and explanations of each menu item. By the time you get to the 7th item, you really start to think you're full, but it's so good you continue forward to the end of the menu and you're rewarded with a special desert. The food was terrific as was the service.

I rented a place in Cottonwood Heights for 6 weeks and was lucky to have found this place the first week. This food is as good as any I've had, including Taiwan. Jennifer is the managers name and she runs a tight ship. I've had 4 different servers, everyone as good as the other. I've been 4 times in 3 weeks and can't wait to come back again.

We were blown away by the creativity of the chef. Just about every dish was unlike anything we’d ever had before and absolutely delicious. The jalapeño hamachi and the salmon belly were particular standouts but everything was incredible.

took a date here a while back. girl orders a drink, server asks for her ID. I then order a drink, pull out my ID to show her and this lady goes "I think I'm good." first of all this is illegal in Utah. second of all she's basically saying I look old. third of all by carding her and not me she's insinuating I'm preying on girls that are under 21. ridiculous. next time someone wants to come here gonna just tell them that I think I'm good.

My favorite. The sushi is great but the tapas will blow your mind. Make sure to try the jalapeño hamachi and the scallops. Wow.

Wonderful creative drinks sushi & Tapas. The art of beautiful eating is very alive at Mint! Seared salmon is to die for. I up here with friends, thinking Id be drinking dinner (have a shellfish allergy & an aversion to raw meat). So I started with a whiskey /juice cocktail (i think it had cranberry & orange) served artfully in a red wine glass. Then, aftwr i said id just be drinking, our outstanding server recommended the seared salmon (he said go with “extra sauce” - great reco), and edamame - both were top shelf! I left pleasantly full, and happy - Ill def be back!

Super disappointed in our take out order. We specified extra wasabi and soy sauce. Luckily we asked again when we picked it up. They gave us 1 “extra” container of wasabi and ginger. When we got home and opened the order that ended up being the ONLY wasabi we got. We had ordered 2 rolls and soup. Not sure why each roll didn’t come with its own? A little more attention to the order notes would be appreciated.

I stay at a hotel nearby when I’m in town for work. I always love an opportunity to enjoy this lovely restaurant. Izzy was outstanding and made the experience even that much better.

Everything we ordered were well plated, very nice presentation and tasted sooo good 😋 The place is clean and well maintained. Service is greeeat and our Server Kristin is the best - very professional, friendly and very accomodating 👌💪 awesome job!
We'll surely be back to try the other items in their menu.

We had the pleasure of visiting Mint Tapas tonight at 9:00 PM, and it was a delightful experience!
As we arrived, we were uncertain whether they would accommodate us since they were in the process of wrapping things up for the evening. To our surprise, we received a warm welcome that immediately set a positive tone for the night.

We were seated comfortably, and it felt as though we were surrounded by a dedicated team of staff eager to ensure our dining experience was top-notch. Their attentiveness made us feel special, and it was clear they genuinely cared about their guests.

Now, onto the food—everything we ordered was exceptional. The **shishito peppers**, a personal favorite, were wonderfully charred and bursting with flavor.
The **tempura platter** was another highlight; it was crisp and lightly coated, providing that perfect crunch without being overly greasy.
Lastly, the **six-piece sashimi platter** was simply perfect, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients.

Overall, Mint Tapas delivered on both great food and great service. We left feeling satisfied and am already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a warm atmosphere and delicious dishes!

I love Mint Tapas but not this location. The one in Holladay is where it’s at. We had to come here last weekend cuz the Holladay location already had too many large parties. The food is slightly less good here, plus the staff SUCK. Our waitress had one of the worst attitudes I’ve seen a server have in a very long time.
