You hire children that move at their own pace, they're not there to produce. Have a mature supervisor.

This shop delivers on flavor and value, hands down. The ice cream is delicious, the “flavor of the day” offerings keep things fresh and fun, and the pricing is more than fair. A single scoop is incredibly generous, making this a sweet stop for budget-conscious indulgence.

However, the service experience here has consistently fallen short. Despite the line out front which could be a sign of success, it often seems to stem more from slow and distracted service than high demand. Most of the staff appear to be teens, and while I understand this may be a first job for many, the lack of attentiveness and professionalism is hard to overlook. Phones, chatting, and casual attitudes create a vibe that feels more like a hangout for the workers than a workplace.

This could be a great opportunity for the owner to reinvest in training, supervision, or perhaps incentives to encourage a more customer-focused approach. With such a strong product, the right service could really elevate the entire experience.

So while the ice cream keeps me coming back, I brace for a wait and hope for improvement in how the front of house is run. This place has potential, it just needs to catch up behind the counter.

Scoops are always inconsistent. One day my double looks like a single and the other day my single looks like a kiddie. Chocolate is delicious and the employees are always super friendly.

I'm from California... I visit the Utah area two or three times a year. I have kids that live there, I always go by Nelson's frozen yogurts and get myself a strawberry concrete. sometimes a sea salt caramel and occasionally a banana. never never have. I been disappointed. perhaps the best sweet treat around.... absolutely delicious! absolutely refreshing worth every penny.

Horrendous service and wait times. I’ve been coming here for decades and I just can’t anymore. I waited 45 minutes on a Tuesday night at 8 PM. My first two orders were unavailable because “the machine that makes mix ins is dirty and nobody wants to clean it.” I went with my 3rd choice and the presentation was dismal. Sorry Nielsen’s, you’ve lost my business.

Got chocolate concrete mixed with brownie bits, tasted amazing! Would come back for a treat. Mini is big enough for even 2 people to share, very sweet. Service was kind and fast.

Hours say open until 11pm. Served every car in front of us who go there at 10:05pm. Refused to serve us. Said those are “summer hours” even though it’s February.

Mainly posting so people will not drive out of the way since Nielsen has not updated their hours since August.

So yummy! Creamy and thick with a huge variety of add-ins. One of my favorite treat places.
