The frozen custard shake was amazing!! So good that I've thought about it several times since. I got caramel cashews & added chocolate brownie. Best shake I've ever had. Seriously! My son enjoyed the crispy fresh onion rings. The chicken sandwich was good as well. The accompaniments good. I liked that it was a chicken breast it just was plain not seasoned. Definitely had better sandwiches. My husband really liked his grinders sub with double meat. It was a fun outing. It's located near a playground so great fit a family night out. You go up to the counter & order & they bring your food in a bag to the table. It's very casual. It was pretty expensive $60 for a small amount of food but I guess that's inflation. I will definitely come back for a shake but may skip the sandwich.

My daughter took me here because she said it was the best in Salt Lake City, well the chocolate Ice cream was the best I think I've ever had. It brought tears to my eyes it was so flavorful and creamy.

The custard is great. It used to be a fun place to get a late night treat and talk on the benches and see friends from the community.Ever since COVID it has just been a place you drive to and get your vice and leave. Bummed to see the loss of community and social engagement.Custard is still great.

I am a lifelong frozen custard absolute fanatic, and I think the vanilla custard here is downright glorious. The hassle we had to sustain to get it was ridiculous. First of all, the lobby isn't open so the cramped and barely workable drive-through is the only option. Secondly, while in the drive-through line, we observed 3 out of the 4 teenagers working there messing with their phones (at the same exact moment), even though there was a lonnnng line of cars moving extremely slowly. The throughput was so slow, we were guesstimating the revenue per hour had to be ridiculously low, even though there was no shortage of cars on a busy Friday night. Also, the workers were messing with their phones wearing their food service gloves, drinking out of water bottles, and then going right back to handling ice cream cones without putting on fresh gloves (I think this is a health department violation... phones aside, you're not supposed to consume food or drink while performing food service, and if you do, it should be on break, and you should wash your hands fully before resuming food service again, and then put on new gloves). Sidenote, there was stress and gridlock trying to fight through the drive-through line while a couple of parked cars attempted to exit the tiny parking lot against the grain of the drive-through. We were pretty over it, but no way to go but through at that point. I asked for a small vanilla cup, and a brusque unsmiling teenager told us they don't offer small. Fine! Call it a "single" or whatever, can you please just help us out after we waited 30 minutes?? We weren't offered napkins. We had to request them. Finally, my husband paid a higher price for a raspberry chocolate concrete, compared to plain vanilla custard. It's supposed to be like a thick milkshake. Well, he was super disappointed because only the top 1 inch of the concoction was blended with those mix-in ingredients; the remaining 85% of it was just plain vanilla. We were only here because we had just tried the Bountiful location and couldn't stop thinking about how delicious it was. This location needs to fire all the indifferent teenagers, open the lobby or something, go through quality control for product, hygiene, and customer service, and reboot. If this were my business, I would want to know it is off the rails.

The frozen custard at any of the Nielsen's locations is amazing. Whenever I am in Utah or Las Vegas, I make it a point to stop in.

Today I picked up 3 regular Concretes at the Hollady location. First they overfilled the cups. They also did not put covers on them, and the cup carrier they used was totally useless. Before I go home one of the tiped over all over my shirt and pants. When I got out of the car all 3 of them fell out of the cup carrier. I am too pissed off to go back today but will be going to the store tomorrow. It took me an hour to clean up my truck.

Parked there and walked up to the door just to be greeted with a sign that said "drive thru only". No biggie I thought. Pulled around to the drive through and proceeded to watch 6 other driver have a complete meltdown about the tiny little parking lot before watching one hit a parked car and speed away. After which, I ordered two concrete shakes and got them handed to me in a plastic solo cup WITH NO LID. These things were TOWERING in the tiny $9 solo cup. They melted all over me and my car on the drive home turning a fun surprise into an absolute nightmare. F this place and thanks for forgetting the napkins

I came by to find shelter in a severe storm after UTA snow routing cut my ride. Immediately I was howled out by the attending staff. Very unprofessional and unkind staff unless you’re a paying customer on the outside of the building.

It's drive-through only, which was fine with me. I'm a frequent flyer at Nielsens Frozen Custard because of the quality. Smooth, rich, and creamy also describe the Custard. The service is always helpful and friendly. Different sizes to meet your appetite. Take a quart home for later. You will thank me.
