The food is fabulous...the BEST Halibut in town! They have THE BEST tartar sauce EVER...(& RANCH dressing!) Their crab cakes n crab cake sauce is amazing...!!! The indoor atmosphere is pretty awesome as well w/the water feature n palm trees etc...! Couldnt be more perfect...! Except it is a lil pricey...but WORTH it 4sho!

Crispy golden batter, flaky fish, and perfectly seasoned chips—this place nails the classic! Tartare sauce is zesty, portions are generous, and the seaside vibe makes it a must-visit for comfort food lovers. A true catch! 🐟🍟

Delicious fish and chips! We also ordered calamari, which was tasty. This restaurant has a fun and kitchy vibe, and I appreciated the kindness of the staff.

This place used to be so much better. I ordered the fish and chips and my daughter ordered some clam chowder. The fish was cooked well and I have no complaints about that. Everything else was unsatisfactory. The tartar sauce and fries were bland. My daughter mentioned that her clam chowder tasted like it came from a can. I was there on a weekday and we were the only two customers in the place, which is why I don’t understand why I waited almost 10 minutes to get some additional fry sauce. The cook in the back saw me several times and just ignored me. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at Summerhays. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Stopped in at Summerhay’s Halibut and Chips and had the Halibut and Clam Chowder—both were good and hit the spot. The chowder was creamy and flavorful, and the halibut was nicely fried without being too greasy.

Chatted with a couple of regulars while waiting, which speaks to the kind of local favorite this place seems to be. It has a fun, laid-back atmosphere with a tropical flair that adds to the experience.

Even though it was busy, the food came out fast, and the young man at the counter was friendly and helpful—especially impressive for a fast-paced dinner rush. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for good seafood in a casual, upbeat setting.

Have been coming here for many years, always been good. The last two times the fish has been dry and overcooked. It actually appears to be premade and frozen type fish. Definitely doesn’t appear handmade. Very disappointed. Hate to say it might be the last time to visit this iconic place.
