Updated Review, February 6, 2025:
Came back for a second visit, and there has been a terrible change in quality and service. We were one of only four tables seated on a Thursday evening. The service was very slow, and the order arrived incorrect. The food quality has also gone downhill. Undercooked appetizer, and the curry was subpar at best. Water glass wasn't properly rinsed and could taste the soap still in it. Our curry had little meat, and it was clearly left-over, low-quality chicken. My friend even found lamb in his chicken curry!

Not sure what has changed in the past month, but it was a terrible experience and we won't be returning for a 3rd visit.

January 7, 2025: Hands down, the best Indian Restaurant in Salt Lake! The service, the food, the atmosphere are all exceptional!

This place now has the best Saag in Utah. They make it proper, creamy, and well blended. The naan is fluffy and cooked just right. The Madras and Makhani were excellent. The spice levels are spot on. If you can't handle heat, only order mild.

Holy cow, the Gohbi Manchurian was cooked perfectly, and had just the right amount of sauce on it. The Samosa were also excellent! Can't wait to come back and try the Dosa! Yes, they have Dosa on the menu! And the price was amazing!

Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options

Dietary restrictions: They will honor restrictions and allergies

Parking: Parking is in the back. Also overflow in front of FedEx.

I visited recently, and the food was average, but what really bothered me was the owner taking tips meant for the employees. It’s unfair and unethical I can’t support a business that treats its staff this way

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH OWNER. She is extremely disrespectful and accuses us of not paying her for a party yet came back and said oh you did and embarasss us infront of our guests. Terrible owner also scammed us and overcharged us per head and threatened to cancel the party the day before. STAY

The food itself tasted pretty good, but unfortunately I found a small piece of metal wire in my food which I had half swallowed before realizing it was there. Hopefully it won’t happen again, but I tend not to go back to places after finding questionable things in the food.

Beware....this place is a dump on the outside as well as rude crappy service on the inside Because of their unkept property Holladay City was notified that Tandoor is in violation of city code law. It then took them months to remove tall weeds and debris. Why support a business that does not follow code regulations!

Food was not good. Garlic naan was not garlic-y & the Coconut Korma had pistachios in it (which we've never seen before at any other Indian restaurant) & my husband had an allergic reaction.

The Tikka Masala was flavorless and the chicken extremely dry.

The food is so good and the staff is so friendly! They are helpful in helping you decide what food to get if you’re unsure. You can also pick your spice level to your liking. Would highly reccomend!

Wonderful food rich with flavor. We ordered butter chicken (medium), chicken coconut korma (mild because I’m a baby), garlic naan and a mango lassi. Everything was delicious and the staff members we spoke with were polite and gracious. It was a great meal and the leftovers will make for a great lunch.

First time ordering take away from Tandoor Indian Grill in Holladay and I have to say this was hands down some of the best Indian food we have had in the valley. After Bombay House closed near Parley's we have been searching for a worthy replacement. Ordered the daal, chicken curry, paneer masala, tandoori chicken and garlic naan. The whole family was commenting how delicious everything was so this was a win. TIG will now be on our regular rotation of restaurants to order from. Thank you!

The food is mediocre at best . We have only done take out from here a couple times. Usually I order the malai kofta n a lamb curry from here . The roti is always super dry but this time it was burnt. The curries were both ok good. But we ordered ras malai. I tried it first after I got home n threw the whole box of 4 pieces that I ordered . The sweet pieces were super hard and seemed old and stale. The milk was very thin watery and also had a sour taste to it. There was 0 flavor. So I called the restaurant back and I told them the ras malai was bad n has gone stale n not to serve it to customers but the lady on the call argued that they were fresh. Also she said she would give me a refund for the dessert but I never got a refund. Overall this experience has put me off and it feels like they are OK to serve food that's not fresh. I will neither go to this place nor recommend it to others. There are many more Indian restaurants in slc and I would prefer any of those over this one.
