“I have been a customer at Layton Rumbi Island Grill for some time now and I think it is about time I leave a Review. The Rumbi bait was Pibb, and when I satisfied that craving and placed my first order of their hamburger I was a fan. I love their sweet pork tacos and shredded chicken rice bowl. My wife loves the sweet potato fries. Last of allbut most important , is the superb management and their skilled chefs. Oh BTW did I mention I love the Pibb?“

“I've heard about this place from other reviewers and so took the opportunity to try it out. We used the drive through so I can't speak to the setting inside. There wasn't a long wait and we got our food pretty quickly. We took the food home before we ate it but it stayed warm for the 5-10 minute trip. I ordered the 4 person family meal choosing Kalia Pork and the Hawaiian BBQ chicken. It also came with rice and macaroni salad. The rice was sticky which I like. The pork may have been a little on the fatty side but that's just how Kailua pork is, though one of the kids picked some of the fat out. The BBQ chicken was especially good. It made me wonder how they make it so flavorful and tender so I can make it on the grill sometime. I'll have to look into that more. Hmmm... The macaroni salad was pretty heavy on the mayonnaise but that's pretty typical for Hawaiian macaroni salad too in my experience. The whole family enjoyed the dinner and even though it said it was for a family of 4, we ended up with enough left over for lunch the next day. We'd definitely not hesitate to go back, though we didn't have a burning desire to make it a regular place to eat.“
