“Ordered catering from here for a birthday party. The pricing was outstanding compared to other Hawaiian options. The food was amazing (especially the rolls). The owner was super kind and accommodating!

This is a new location, so they are still working on some of the catering things, so I'd be specific about things that you need other than food (i.e. tray holders, etc.) to make sure you get everything you need. The trays we were given were too small for the tray holders, and they forgot the burning fuel initially, but were able to help us out once asked. Honestly, expected kinks in a opening a new location and still 100% worth it all for the delicious food at a great price!“

“I've driven by dozens of times and always wanted to stop in. I finally got the opportunity to about a month ago. I had an idea of what I wanted, but as soon as I walked in I could NOT decide. I asked what the most frequently ordered meal was and walked out with Spam Loco Moco (first time trying it!). Best Decision EVER! The mac salad was a great side and compliment to the gravy. “I normally don’t leave reviews like this, but this situation is too disturbing to stay quiet about. People deserve to know what kind of environment is being tolerated here. A 17-year-old female employee repeatedly expressed feeling unsafe after a manager, Braedon, followed her around for OVER AN HOUR after work trying to figure out where she lived. Even more disturbing? His girlfriend, Isabel, was in the car with him the entire time. According to her, Isabel repeatedly told him to stop, and he kept responding with “just a little more.” Why? What exactly was the objective here? Why would a grown man continue following a terrified 17-year-old girl after she repeatedly begged him to stop? There are WAY too many stories nowadays of young women being stalked, harassed, abducted, or worse for anyone to pretend this behavior is harmless. And this wasn’t the only concerning behavior. Before he even started dating Isabel, he was making comments to her like, “Are you still with your boyfriend?” making it pretty obvious he had personal interest in a 17-year-old employee. Then later came the boundary-crossing incidents at work. One example: she earned a pin from work and told him multiple times to just leave it in her locker so she could grab it later. Instead, while she was actively helping a customer, he ignored her boundaries, lifted up her shirt, and placed the pin into her back pocket himself. This was reportedly all caught on camera. A manager putting his hands on a minor employee after being told no is completely unacceptable. Period. She reported these situations, asked repeatedly not to be scheduled with him anymore, and even went to HR because she felt that uncomfortable and unsafe. Yet they CONTINUED scheduling her with him anyway. Nothing changed. No accountability. No protection. No concern. Eventually, she quit because the company made it clear her safety and comfort mattered less than protecting management and friendships within the workplace. Imagine being 17 years old, speaking up multiple times that you feel unsafe around a manager, and being ignored until you feel forced to leave your job entirely. That is beyond unprofessional — it’s alarming. No young employee should EVER have to feel unsafe, cornered, ignored, or retaliated against after reporting behavior like this. The fact management failed to protect a minor employee after repeated complaints says everything people need to know about this company. Protect your daughters, sisters, friends, and yourselves. There are far better places to work and eat at ALL around that actually care about employee safety, professionalism, and boundaries.“

“We came at a super busy time. The restaurant itself was improperly stocked and didn’t have all of the items they usually do. Given this, there was a bit of a wait. The staff however was insanely professional. Jace and his team were polite, kept putting plates together efficiently, and provided great food.

Tough situation for the staff, but they handled it perfectly. While the owners/managers might need to figure some things out, they have done a great job at hiring and training a great team of employees.“

Delicious food with amazing flavor! I ordered the 2-plate with Katsu Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken—both were tender and had great flavor. The portion sizes were generous (maybe they could tell I came hungry!). The service was top-notch, and the owner was very personable and friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Hawaiian food. I’ll definitely be coming back often! 🌺🍽️“

“We went to Why KiKi for a bachelorette party and it was the funnest time! They were personable with our bride and put on such a fun show! The food was great at a great price and the drinks were so fun! Afterwards, we went down to the silent disco (price included with our ticket) which was such a fun experience! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun girls night!“

“Gnarly's Island came to our school's recent Fall Festival. The owner is super kind and the dole whip is delicious! Thank you so much for coming out to our school. I could have bought 5 gallons of Dole Whip, but alas it would have melted. If you're looking for a twist on ice cream, Gnarly's island is the way to go.“

“When I come back to visit Salt Lake I always come back. Eating here is a particular core memory for me.

No matter what is on the agenda: hiking, upscale eateries, Swig, make it a priority to stop here.

I'm very particular about my home-made Katsu and Lolo is the only ones who I admit will fully match mine. Great value for the food, its always delicious, its great to mix and match and share with other people, hands down its always delicious.

Seriously, getting off of the plane and keeping some in the fridge back at the hotel is always a priority.“

He gave excellent above and beyond care to my friend and I. Food was excellent! Only small complain was rumbi rice a bit clumpy and soft but flavorful.
