Always amazing tasting food! Quality of sashimi & nigiri, as well as rolls is great! Service was good and speed of service was a bit on the slower side, as they seemed to be understaffed. One thing that I find offensive as a great tipper (usually between 22-30%), is that Tsunami determines tip based on total (after 8%+ sales tax), rather than the subtotal. Why should a patron pay 20-22% tip on the 8%+ sales tax paid to the city & state???!!! A fair number of restaurants...
Went here for the first time. Lunch. Place was packed full at 12pm on a WEDS. We tried maybe 10 different rolls. While they were all fresh most of them were some odd combos. They were trying to hard. When I tried to order some "normal" rolls, the server insisted that we make them into "off menu" rolls which, frankly, fell flat. I would not rush back.
Believe the hype! All of the good reviews are there for a reason! I have gone there twice this week as I am visiting Lehi, Utah. The sushi rolls are outstanding! Ask for the Thundercat, which is off the menu! Both John and Josue are outstanding chefs that work at the sushi bar. Register shirt, when I return, I will be coming back for more!
